Dungeons & Dragons: Temple of Elemental Evil

I've only had Temple of Elemental Evil for a short while and haven't had much chance to test everything, but it met my expectations. The miniatures are high-quality and easy to distinguish. The game tiles are well-made and easy to store.
I definitely recommend it to all D&D fans.

Síce temple of elemental evil mám len chvíľu a nemal som veľa šancí otestovať všetko no splnilo to moje očakávania, figúrky sú kvalitne a dobre rozoznateľné. Hracie plošinky sú kvalitné a ľahko uskladnitelne.

The new manufacturer, Wizkids, has done a solid job continuing the popular Dungeons & Dragons Adventure System board game series.

Pros:

• Reflects the evolution of D&D 5E (Advantage/Disadvantage mechanics).
  
• For the first time ever, it includes campaign play right out of the box, providing components for character progression (Advancement Tokens). It also includes city map boards and NPC tokens for campaign use.
  
• Redesigned game tiles now account for trap placement and the number of monsters spawned, making the game feel more dynamic.
  
  

Cons:

• Lacks the more complex traps found in previous games.
  
• Due to the campaign focus, the treasure deck is filled with gold cards, resulting in fewer item cards (only 21) compared to previous titles. They could have kept the system from Wrath of Ashardalon, where gold was handled by tokens that determined whether you drew a treasure card or just took gold. This would have kept the deck full of items and ensured greater variety.
  
• Subjectively, the miniature quality is slightly lower than in previous games. Less detail, harder plastic, and less flexible. Flying monsters on clear hard-plastic rods are prone to breaking, especially on smaller models like Firebats.
  

Nový výrobci Wizkids se poměrně dobře zhostili úkolu pokračovat v oblíbené sérii stolních her z rodiny Dungeons & Dragons Adventure System.

Klady:

• Zohledňuje vývoj D&D - 5E (mechanika Advantage/Disadvantage)
  
• Poprvé v historii rovnou od výrobce obsahuje hraní scénářů zasebou v jedné plnohodnotné kampani a poskytuje komponenty pro vylepšování postav v rámci této kampaně (Advancement Tokens). Pro účely kampaně obsahuje desky s mapou města a žetony Nehráčských postav pro město.
  
• Přepracování herních desek (Tiles), které nově rovnou zohledňují rozmístění pastí a počet vykládaných příšer, díky čemuž mi přijde hra dynamičtější.
  
  

Zápory:

• Neobsahuje složitější pasti jak je známe z předchozích her.
  
• Z důvodu kampaňe je balíček pokladů naplněn kartami peněz z čehož plyne menší počet pokladů předmětů (pouze 21 karet) v porovnání s předchozími hrami. V tom to směru mohlo klidně být zachováno řešení z Wrath of Ashardalon, kde byly peněžité poklady řešeny žetony které určovali jestli táhnout kartu pokladu, nebo jen peníze. Pokladů předmětů by tak byl plný balíček a byla by zaručena jejich větší variabilita.
  
• Subjektivně trochu horší kvalita miniatur oproti předchozím hrám. Méně detailů, tvrdší, ne tak ohebný plast. Létací příšery na průhledné tyčce z tvrdého plastu, u malých modelů (Firebats) náchylná ke zlomení.
  

The game itself is great, offering many hours of fun.
The miniatures are well-crafted, and I can't wait to paint them. Their scale matches other D&D and Pathfinder miniatures, so you can easily use them for D&D, Dračí doupě, or other RPGs.

Hra jako takova je super, mnoho hodin zabavy.
Miniaturky jsou pekne provedene, uz se tesim az je budu malovat. Jejich velikost odpovida jinym miniaturam D&D a Pathfinder a tedy je mozne je pouzit k hrani D&D, Draciho Doupete nebo jinych RPG.

I use this game as an expansion for existing D&D titles, as it's fully compatible. Just like the previous games in the series, it's fun both as a standalone experience and combined with others for even more variety.

Tuto hru vyuzivam ako rozsierenie uz existujucich hier z radu D&D - s ktorymi je mozne ju nakombinovat. Tak ako predchadzajuce hry zo serie, aj tato je zabavna ako samostatne tak v kombinacii s predchadzajucimi pre vacsiu variabilitu

The new game from the D&D Adventures series is built on the 5th edition D&D rules, slightly modified for this system. It's perfect for both beginners and D&D fans, and all components are compatible with both D&D Miniatures and the core D&D RPG.

The production quality is high once again, proving that Wizards know how to deliver when they want to. It's just a shame that most of the figures have already been released in previous Miniatures series.

The figures come unpainted, which significantly increases their value (some of the factory-painted figures from their previous editions were terrible!). The game flows well whether you're playing with a group or solo.

I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Nová hra ze série D&D Adventures je postavena na 5. reedici pravidel D&D, která jsou lehce upravena pro použití v tomto systému. Hodí se jak pro začátečníky tak i pro fandy D&D a všechny součíásti balení jsou kombinovatelné jak s D&D Miniatures tak i čistým D&D RPG.

Zpracování je opět na vysoké úrovní, jak Wizardi ukázali v předchozích dílech, když chtějí tak umí. Jen škoda že figurky jsou povětšinou ty, které již vyšly v nějaké Miniatures sérii.

Figurky nejsou nabarvené, díky čemuž výrazně vzrostla jejich hodnota (některé továrensky barvené figurky jejích edic byly hrozné!). Hra odsýpá jak s více hráči, tak i v případě že si zahrajete sami.

Rozhodně doporučuji vyzkoušet.
