This really takes me back years. Back when I first tasted 2ndE. Sigil, the City of Doors – an incredible metropolis where portals connect to every corner of the multiverse.
The core book provides a description of Sigil, complete with various locations and NPCs. I was pleasantly surprised to see some familiar faces from Planescape: Torment here. There is also a detailed description of the Outlands, focusing on the various planar gate-towns.
The monster book provides 5E updates for many Planescape creatures with matching illustrations. Some of the more obscure beings, like the Rilmani, have received a new look and description, but everything still retains that classic Planescape feel (yes, I don't like change, and I'll never understand why you'd change something that works).
I haven't finished the adventure book yet, but the overall premise is quite interesting. Once again, there's a bit of a callback to Torment. As usual, I definitely won't use the manual as a complete campaign, but there are plenty of interesting snippets here that I'll beautifully incorporate into my own adventures.
Definitely much better than Spelljammer.
Toto mě opravdu bere roky nazpět. Ještě když jsem okusil 2ndE. Sigil, města dveří – neuvěřitelné metropole, kde se portály připojují ke každému koutu multivesmíru.
Zakládní kniha poskytuje popis města Sigil, doplněný popisem různých míst a NPC.
