Description
Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game is a meta-cooperative psychological survival game set in a freezing post-apocalyptic world. You and your fellow players find yourselves in a small, struggling colony, forced to face both internal challenges and deadly external threats. Most of humanity is either dead or infected by a plague that turns the living into zombie monsters.
Playing Dead of Winter is an atmospheric experience and an adventure where you must resolve crises, scavenge for supplies, fight against a terrifying enemy together, and above all, maintain the colony's morale.

A fantastic board game. I played it at a pub with friends, had a blast, and ordered it as soon as I got home. It’s an absolute must-have if you’re into zombie survival games.

As others have noted, it really depends on having a good group. Luckily, we have a great crew, so the game plays perfectly whether we're tackling co-op and hardcore quests or dealing with a traitor. Even after about 10 games, it still hasn't gotten boring. The graphics are fantastic, and there are tons of characters and quests. The fate cards are sometimes hilarious and other times brutal—and there are so many of them!
Dle zkušeností ostatních je vidět, že záleží zda se sejde dobrá parta. Naštěstí v mém případě máme partu dobrou a hra se hraje skvěle jak na kooperaci a hardocore questy, tak i se zrádcem. A stále zhruba po 10 hrách nepřestává nudit. Jinak skvělé grafické zpracování, spousta postav a ukolu. Karty osudu jsou někdy vtipné jindy zase pro změnu drsné a je jich fakt hodně :)
An awesome cooperative game! It captures the oppressive atmosphere perfectly and keeps the tension high. Beyond the shared goal, every player has a personal objective that might even conflict with the others. Every session feels unique thanks to the many different scenarios, characters, and events. I also love how the game keeps multiple players engaged at the same time.
Super kooperativní hra! Dobře vykresluje tíživou atmosféru a udržuje napětí, kromě společného cíle má každý hráč ještě osobní cíl, který může jít i proti ostatním. Každá hra je v něčem jiná, je tu mnoho různých scénářů, postav i událostí. Také se mi líbí, jak hra zapojuje více hráčů zároveň.
The gameplay experience is somewhat similar to Battlestar Galactica: paranoia, suspecting your fellow players, and the constant need to cooperate against an external threat. Who can you trust? You'll need sharp judgment and a keen eye. Plus, even a player on your side might appear to be an enemy at times due to their hidden objective.
Herní zážitek je lehce podobný Battlestar Galactice, paranoia, podezřívání spoluhráčů vs. nutnost spolupráce vůči vnější hrozbě. Komu věřit a komu ne? Chce to mít správný úsudek a pozorovací talent. Navíc i hráč na vaší straně se kolikrát díky jeho skrytému cíli může navenek jevit jako nepřítel
