As I mentioned in my review of the first volume, these books complement and expand upon the Lone Wolf story from the gamebook series. You can read them as standalone fantasy novels (though once you start with the first one, you'll definitely want the rest). You don't need any prior knowledge of the gamebooks or the Lone Wolf RPG – I get that gamebooks aren't for everyone, but I'm certain any fantasy fan will enjoy these books.

I'm reviewing books 1–3 together because they don't make much sense individually and I rate them all the same. The books retell the story of the first two gamebooks while significantly expanding and adding to it.
You'll learn a ton of interesting facts about the world of Lone Wolf, and discover new characters and locations. I really appreciate the hardcover production quality and the color map.
Basically a must-read for Lone Wolf fans, though it probably won't grab anyone else.

The second volume of the Lone Wolf Legends series, Darke Stalks the Night, brings you back to the fantasy world of Magnamund, based on the classic gamebook series. The story roughly follows the events of the gamebook Fire on the Water.
You'll love the compact size, making it perfect for reading on the go, whether you're on the bus or out in nature. A must-read for every Lone Wolf fan.

This is a pretty solid sequel in the Lone Wolf world. The only thing that caught me off guard was the pacing; it felt a bit too fast for my taste, and the book itself is on the shorter side (fewer pages).
However, it follows the first volume perfectly and does a great job of developing the plot and characters.
