In Chicken Caesar, you lead an aristocratic chicken family in ancient Rome, vying for eternal glory and fame in the Senate. Each family has several ambitious roosters eager to become senators and cement their legacy at any cost. You gain prestige by placing your relatives in various Senate positions. While minor offices offer less prestige, they provide significant political and military power. With the help of well-paid (temporary) allies, your Aediles and Praetors can pave the way to higher, more prestigious offices. Will your rooster become a Censor, a Consul, or perhaps Caesar himself?

Being Caesar is no walk in the park. One ill-timed bribe or mistake, and today's Caesar becomes tomorrow's coq au vin. A dead rooster earns no points, but can still be useful to surviving relatives to exaggerate their own importance and deeds. Ultimately, it is all about how history remembers you, and as we all know, history can be rewritten. In Chicken Caesar, you distribute important offices through negotiation, promises, bribery, and voting. You can also demand bribes or abstain from voting to gain future advantages. The game includes a Suffragium token, which you use after voting to either promote a rooster to a higher position or throw him to the fox.
