Bizarre finds at a reasonable price
London called off the assassination of Heydrich. What now? Now we're having some Chocolate for the Wehrmacht! A literary treat for everyone who isn't afraid to rewrite history and dive into the Protectorate era of 1941–1943. An alternate history novel brilliantly spiced with dieselpunk; you can find a great review on Sarden, and there's even a playlist here to set the right mood.
While we're on the subject of the bizarre, I can't skip the comic by Alejandro Jodorowsky – Moon Face. If you haven't experienced this author yet, it's worth catching up. You're missing out on a huge dose of madness and mysticism. The silent hero of Moon Face can control destructive tsunamis, which is perfect for beach reading. The dreamy yet twisted art by François Boucq and the crazy world of Alejandro Jodorowsky will definitely get you off your sunbed. You can find a great review on Nerdopolis.

Feeling lonely? Find some company with Songs of a Dead Dreamer! Obsessed characters—doctors, artists, professors, psychiatrists, and psychopaths—and protagonists living in dingy, anonymous cities with warped houses won't let you down. The debut short story collection from one of the greatest contemporary authors of weird fiction, weaving strange tales where the irrationality of existence emerges from nightmares.
Horror summer
In the sale, you'll definitely run into plenty of great titles by Stephen King. If It Bleeds will please fans of the King novel The Outsider with the return of Holly Gibney in the title story. We've also slashed the price on the cult fantasy horror The Talisman.

Going camping or to a cabin in the woods? Want to be scared and tell ghost stories? Twelve Czech and Slovak authors reveal their dark visions in the unique short story anthology God of the Black Forest - Stories of Beasts

Coloring books for kids and teens who prefer black and other dark colors? Why not! If they love Wednesday, they'll definitely handle the Unofficial Book of Morbid and Spooky Coloring Pages.
Sci-fi for a steal. Last minute!
Want to fly to space for your vacation? With us, it's no problem. You don't even have to sell your house or a kidney! You can blast off to the stars right from a blanket at the pool. For such a trip, I recommend books like The Midnight Sky (you can also find the film adaptation on Netflix), Sky Squadron, or the first volume of the sci-fi young adult series Phobos: The Mission.

"Two Czechs, a Finn, a Swede, and a Spaniard meet on a space station to study a wormhole…" That's not the start of a bad joke, but the fun sci-fi novel Mexabo by Czech author Kristýna Sládečková, which is sure to lift your spirits.

If you feel like your head is too much "in the stars," the novel Snail on the Slope by the visionary Strugatsky brothers will surely ground you. They managed to hold a mirror up to today's Western society so accurately that it gives the reader the chills—which is perfect for those hot summer days! You can find a great review on Děti noci.
Apocalypse, Czech style
Are you on vacation abroad and missing home? Read some brutal Czech post-apo and reminisce about your homeland! František Kotleta is one of the most popular long-term Czech authors and is definitely no newcomer to genre literature. His work is a safe bet, and you'll definitely run into it in our sale. I especially recommend the action novel Hunters or the vampire series Brotherhood of Blood, even in audio format! Put on Mega Tough Cut or Really Tough Cut.
