After the assassination of Julius Caesar in 44 BC, his adopted son Gaius Octavius decided to return to Rome. He was politically ambitious, built a strong reputation, and in 27 BC, earned the right to speak in the Senate. Later, he received the title Augustus, was declared Roman Emperor, and divided the Empire into provinces.

In this game, you manage individual provinces and aim to secure your assigned territory both economically and politically. The most successful player becomes the Emperor's consul, while the others are sent to the most remote provinces of the Empire, left with nothing but berries and water…
