Blood on the Altar is the third Mythos Pack in The Dunwich Legacy cycle for Arkham Horror: The Card Game. Its sixty cards (including a complete playset of each new player card) challenge you to delve into the secrets of Dunwich, where you suspect a series of recent disappearances may be related to the events in Arkham. But the more you explore, the more you get the impression the townsfolk aren't exactly pleased to see you. There are secrets in this town that its inhabitants don't wish to share…
Even as your investigation of the town leads you to many of the locations infamously identified in H.P. Lovecraft's classic tale, The Dunwich Horror, the player cards in Blood on the Altar allow you to translate the experience you gained in your previous adventures into permanent new Talents, several new assets, events, and skill cards, and higher-level, more efficient versions of cards from the Core Set.

A great scenario that perfectly captures the atmosphere of Dunwich and its peculiar inhabitants. You'll search for a hidden chamber and face a final surprise with two possible resolutions, both of which slightly alter the following scenario. All the while, mischievous nightjars circle around, waiting to snatch your souls :) A well-crafted piece, best played as part of a campaign, of course.
Pěkný scénář, který hezky zachycuje atmosféru Dunwiche a jeho zvláštních obyvatel, pátrání po skryté komnatě a finální překvapení, které má dvě možnosti vyřešení, a ty mají zase vliv na to, jak se trošku změní následující scénář. A do toho kolem poletují potměšilí lelci a čekají na lapení vašich duší :) Povedená záležitost, samozřejmě ideálně hraná v rámci kampaně.
This expansion adds new investigator cards and a new challenge you can play as a standalone, but you'd be missing out on the full experience. I highly recommend playing the entire campaign—it's an amazing ride.
Toto rozšíření přidává nové karty pro vyšetřovatele, novou výzvu, kterou si jde zahrát i bez možnosti kampaně, ale to bychom se ochudili o zážitek. Proto vřele doporučuji protože hrát celou kampaň je výborný zážitek.
The Dunwich Legacy cycle starts off as a fairly straightforward campaign without any particularly nasty surprises.
This scenario changes that successfully, and everything just goes to hell.
It drops you into the miserable town of Dunwich, where you get the exclusive opportunity to get lost and die on a conveyor belt. And just when you finally drag yourself to the finale, you realize you've only just begun... 4 dooms in a single turn... seriously...
Anyway, the next scenarios will be all the more spicy thanks to our epic failure.

Cyklus Dunwich Legacy je ze začátku vcelku jednoduchá kampaň bez nějakých výrazně záludných koutů.
S tímto scénářem se to úspěšně mění a vše jde jednoduše do háje.
Scénář před vás postaví velmi mizermé městečko Dunwich a vy se v ném máte exkluzivní možnost ztrácet a umírat jak na běžícím páse. A když už se konečně dopotácíte k finále, zjistíte, že jste vlastně teprve začali.... 4 doomy v jedno kole... to snad ...
Nic, další scénáře budou díky našemu epickému selhání o to peprnější.
(Prasátko na fotce je záměrné, abyste měli možnost si sami objevit, jaká příjemnost se tam skýtá)
