Join the handful of brave pioneers colonizing deep space in Alien Frontiers. Your new home is an inhospitable and potentially hostile planet, but if you manage your resources wisely, build a fleet, explore alien life forms, and establish a stable colony, the world is yours.
Alien Frontiers is a resource management and colony-building game for 2 to 4 players. You will build on the planet's surface as well as in its orbit. The game board features the planet, its moon, an orbital station, and the system's sun. Players place their fleet ships in various locations to gather resources or perform special actions.
It won't be easy, as your rivals also want to build powerful colonies in the best spots. You will steal resources, occupy enemy territory, and do whatever it takes to build your colony first and dominate the planet. Can you tame an unknown world and defeat your opponents in Alien Frontiers?

An absolutely excellent dice-based worker placement game. While in standard worker placement games all workers are universal and can be used for any action, in Alien Frontiers your workers (spaceships) are dice, and you can only use them for actions that match the values rolled.
The game is simple, fast, and fun. At the same time, it allows for amazing combinatorial orgies, especially when combined with unique alien technologies that, among other things, let you manipulate your dice rolls. I definitely recommend the big expansions (Factions and Outer Belt) as well, which expand the game's possibilities even further.
For me, one of my favorite one-hour games.
Naprosto excelentní kostková workerplacement hra. Zatímco v běžných workerplacementech jsou všichni pracovníci univerzální a můžou být použiti na jakoukouliv akci, v Alien frontiers jsou pracovníci (vesmírné lodě) kostky, a lze je použít pouze na akce, které odpovídají hodnotám, které na kostkách padly.
Hra je jednoduchá, rychlá a zábavná. Zároveň ale umožňuje úžasné kombinatorické orgie, a to zejména ve spojení s unikátními mimozenskými technologiemi, které mimo jiné umožňují různě manipulovat s hody na kostkách. Určitě doporučuji také velká rozšíření (Factions a Outer belt), která ještě víc rozšiřují možnosti hry.
Pro mě jedna z nejoblíbenějších jednohodinovek.
