Ursula K. Le Guin

She gained fame for her Earthsea cycle, with her most acclaimed work being the novel The Left Hand of Darkness. She received numerous awards, including the Hugo and Nebula awards, as well as the Gandalf Grand Master in 1979 and the Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award in 2003.
