Description
Ticket to Ride puts you in the role of a railway builder in North America. The more extensive your train network, the closer you get to victory. You earn extra points for connecting major cities or building the longest continuous route. The game is built on simple rules that encourage direct competition. That is where the true beauty of the game lies—there is nothing more satisfying than laying down tracks at the last second to snatch a route from your opponent and block their progress.
With simple rules, a fun gameplay loop, a reasonable playtime (approx. 45 minutes), and a system that works perfectly even for two players, it is easy to see why Ticket to Ride won the 2004 Game of the Year award and has sold over half a million copies worldwide.

A fun game with simple rules – you can explain them quickly and start playing right away :) Perfect for beginners.
Players can influence and compete with each other – for example, by claiming a route someone else wanted. But the game is well-balanced, so if your plans get thwarted, you're not out of the game yet. You can also use tactics and bluffing, which adds a lot of fun.
The game moves quickly because players can only perform one of three actions per turn. It stays exciting because it's not clear who will win until the very end (points are tallied both during the game and at the final scoring).
Pros:
- Players interact on the board rather than just stealing cards from hands like in other games.
- Luck doesn't play a major role!
Cons:
- Map: It's hard to find cities if you don't have the map of America memorized.
- Small spaces for the score tracker.
I recommend it :)) even as a party game.
We've had this game for a long time and it's still fun. It's not complicated, so you can explain the rules to your friends in no time and start playing. We've already used it for two team-building events and never had a problem getting the maximum number of players.
Hru mame uz dlho a stale nas bavi, nieje narocna takze pravidla vysvetlite kamaratom velmi rychlo a mozte hrat. Spravili sme na nej uz dva teambuildingy a nikdy nebol problem zohnat maximalny mozny pocet hracov.
Ticket to Ride is a board game classic. We've played the America, Europe, and Africa editions so far. If you want to give the game a try, I recommend starting with America. It's the simplest one, and you'll have just as much fun with it.
Ticket to ride patrí ku klasikám v spoločenských hrách. Zatial sme hrali Ameriku, Európu a Afriku. Kto by si chcel hru vyskúšať, odporúčam začať s Amerikou.
