Sushi Go! (English version)

This is a fast-paced card game with simple rules that uses a card-drafting mechanism. You can play it as a two-player game, but I found it more interesting with 3 or more players.

Thanks to their surface finish, the cards don't stick together and are more resistant to damage. Even so, they tend to wear out since you're constantly handling them during play. That's why I definitely recommend using card sleeves.

The only downside is the lack of a decent score tracker. However, a pen and paper will easily do the job.

Jedná sa o rýchlu kartovú hru s jednoduchými pravidlami, využívajúcu card-drafting mechanizmus. Hrať sa dá aj vo dvojici, prišla mi však zaujímavejšia pri počte hráčov 3 a viac.

Karty sa vďaka povrchovej úprave nelepia a sú odolnejšie voči poškodeniu. I napriek tomu majú tendenciu ošúchať sa keďže sa s nimi pri hre neustále manipuluje. Preto rozhodne odporúčam použiť obaly na karty.

Vytkol by som snáď len absenciu nejakej rozumnej pomôcky na počítanie bodov. Tú však hravo nahradí papier a ceruzka.

I have the Czech version of the game, but since it's language-independent, picking up the English version is no problem at all. The game is quite fast and snappy, taking about 20 minutes to play. It's based on a drafting mechanic where each player keeps one card from their hand and passes the rest along. The game consists of three rounds, and the player with the most points wins.

The big advantage is that everyone plays simultaneously, so the game time doesn't drag even with more players, and you don't have to wait for your turn. Sushi Go! is a beautifully illustrated card game. I recommend it even for less experienced players.

Mam cesku verziu hry, ale kedze sa jedna o jazykovo nezavyslu hru, nie je problem si kupit aj anglicku verziu. Hra je pomerne rychla a svizna, odohrana cca do 20min. Principom hry je draft, kde si kazdy hrac z balika ponecha jednu kartu a balicek poda dalej. Hra sa sklada z troch kol a vytazi hrac s najviac bodmi.

Vyhodu hry vidim v tom, ze vsetci hraci hraju naraz, cize doba hrania sa nepredlzi ani pri vacsom pocte hracov a nemusite cakat, kym sa dostanete na tah. Sushi go je graficky pekne spracovana kartova hra. Odporucam aj pre menej skusenych hracov.

A fast-paced, fun game that works well as a filler or to wrap up an evening, though it can easily drag on. Sometimes, opening the box means Sushi Go will be the last game of the night, as you might hear "one more round" quite a few times.
While you can play with two, it really shines with three or more players. The box is nice, but unnecessarily large. Since the game is quite travel-friendly, I would have preferred a more compact box, like the one for Hanabi. The cards wear out over time, but they remain easy to read.

Svižná zábavná hra mezi hry ale i na konec večera, který umí i slušně protáhnout. Někdy bohužel otevření krabičky znamená, že Sushi Go bude poslední hrou večera, protože "ještě jednou" může zaznít hodněkrát.
Hru lze sice hrát ve dvou, ale teprve ve třech či více hráčích "funguje". Krabička je pěkná, nicméně zbytečně veliká. Vzhledem k tomu, že je hra celkem vhodná i na cesty bych uvítal kompaktnější krabičku ve stylu Hanabi. Karty se časem ošoupají, čitelnost zůstává dobrá.

In short, it's a streamlined and simplified 7 Wonders that sits somewhere between a filler, a party game, and a full-fledged light board game. Sushi Go! is a drafting game that leans heavily into that filler aspect of 7 Wonders. You can explain the entire game in five minutes, and a session lasts no more than fifteen minutes. The tin box is beautiful (cards fit even when sleeved), the illustrations are pleasant, and the game is language-independent. It has high potential for getting non-gamers hooked.

Within its subgenre—an extremely simple, fast, and fun drafting filler for a few minutes—it's hard to find any negatives.

Ve zkratce jde o zjednodušených a zefektivněných 7 divů světa, které svými parametry stojí někde na pomezí filleru, párty hry a plnohodnotné lehčí deskovky. Sushi Go! je draftovací hra, která na 7D právě posiluje tu fillerovou stránku. Hra se dá kompletně vysvětlit do pěti minut a hra trvá maximálně čtvrt hodiny. Plechová krabička je krásná (karty se vejdou i v obalech), ilustrace příjemné, hra je jazykově nezávislá. Potenciál nakažení nehráčů vysoký.

V rámci subžánru, tj. extrémně jednoduchý, rychlý a zábavný draftovací filler na pár minut, lze těžko u této hry hledat negativa.

This is a very fast and simple game that would be perfect for parties if only it supported more players (which you can solve by getting 2 copies :-) ).

The production quality is great if you like anime and similar styles. The game comes in a sturdy tin box that is just the right size, making it perfect for travel. It's fun with any number of players, which is something you can't say about most games. It moves very quickly, you're constantly involved in the action, and you can't get knocked out.

The only downside is that the cards wear out quite a bit with frequent play; they could really use a more durable finish...

Jde o velmi rychlou a jednoduchou hru, která by se perfektně hodila na párty, kdyby jen byla pro větší počet lidí (což se dá vyřešit 2 hrami :-) ).

Zpracování je skvělé, pokud máte rádi anime apod. Hra je v pevné plechové krabičce, která je přesně tak velká, jak je potřeba, takže super na cesty. Zábavná je v každém počtu hráčů, což se o většině her nedá říct. Velice rychle to odsýpá, jste pořád zapojeni do hry a nemůžete vypadnout.

Jediné, co bych hře vytkla je, že karty se při častém hraní velmi ošoupají, chtělo by to nějaký stabilnější povrch...

The game comes in a nice tin box. The cards are high-quality and textured. The game itself is simple and fast. You collect sets of different sushi and pass the cards to your opponents.

Hra je v pěkné plechové krabičce. Karty jsou kvalitní a vroubkované. Samotná hra je jednoduchá a rychlá. Sbíráte sady různých sushi a karty posíláte dále soupeřům.
