Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game (second edition)

A truly beautiful strategy game. It has incredibly slim rules, yet offers plenty of ways to play and win. It's easy to learn. You can easily adjust the game length by changing the number of ships and upgrades.
If you like it, count on wanting the expansions.
It's a bit of a financial trap, but compared to other games of this type (Warhammer, Armada, etc.), this one is on the cheaper side. Plus, the models come beautifully painted and ready to play.

Opravdu krásná strategická hra. Má neuvěřitelně útlá pravidla a přesto spoustu možností jak hrát a vyhrát. Učí se snadno. Délku hry lze snadno ovlivnit počtem lodí a vylepšení.
Pokud se Vám zalíbí, počítejte s tím, že budete chtít rozšíření.
Finančně je to trochu past, ale pokud to srovnám s jinými hrami tohoto typu (Warhammer, Armada,...), tak tahle bude patřit k těm levnějším. Navíc modely jsou krásně nabarvené a ready to play.

Starter set for the Star Wars starfighter game. It includes the most iconic ships from the SW universe (sorry, Millennium Falcon)—the X-Wing and two TIE Fighters—along with pilot cards, ability and weapon cards, movement dials, and other accessories.

The fun of X-Wing lies in the secret maneuver selection (each ship has its own) using movement dials, followed by resolution based on pilot skills. Colliding with asteroids, suddenly appearing behind an opponent's back (RED FIVE, HE IS BEHIND YOU!), and making pew-pew-pew noises while rolling dice is just incredibly fun.

Plus, you can customize every ship with pilot, system, or ability cards, so no two games are ever the same. Naturally, there's plenty of room for combos, which any of your power-gaming friends will be happy to teach you :) But it's totally worth it.

Zábavnosť X-Wingu ako hry spočíva v utajenej voľbe manévrov (každá má iný) určených movement traymi a ich následného vyhodnocovania podľa skillov pilotov. Zrážky s asteroidmi, nečakané objavenie sa za chrbtom (RED FIVE HE IS BEHIND YOU) protivníka a robenie pew pew pew pri hádzaní kociek je proste strašná zábava.

Každú loď si navyše môžete upraviť podľa seba s kartičkami pilotov, systémov, alebo schopností, takže žiadna hra nebude rovnaká a samozrejme, dá sa tam riadne kombiť, čo vás naučí každý z vašich powergamerských kamarátov :) Ale stojí to za to.
