Standard grade black Turkish broken tea from the Rize region. An incredibly popular drink in Turkey that you'll see absolutely everywhere.
A legend from the Black Sea
Looking for something to reliably boost your stamina in the morning, or just craving a moment of peace with the scent of distant lands? Rize tea isn't just any loose-leaf tea. It's the liquid heart of Turkey, grown on the slopes by the Black Sea, where the tea plants have the best conditions. If you've ever visited Istanbul, you'll recognize the taste immediately – robust, earthy, and uncompromisingly honest.
Why swap your morning coffee for Rize?
This tea doesn't mess around with delicate floral notes you need a magnifying glass to find. It's a workhorse. It has a deep mahogany color (Turks call it "rabbit's blood") and a flavor that will get you on your feet before a demanding day at work or a long evening of gaming.
Its main strength is its versatility. You can brew it strong as a "death wish" in a traditional double teapot (çaydanlık), or steep it the classic way in a mug. It pairs perfectly with sugar or honey, and although purists might frown upon it, it can even handle a drop of milk.

I bought this tea purely out of curiosity, as I'd only heard positive things about it. To be fair, the price is practically a steal. Honestly, it's not really my cup of tea, so I'm giving it an average rating. From my own experience, I highly recommend sweetening it well with honey.
Čaj jsem si koupil čistě ze zvědavosti, jelikož jsem na něj slyšel jen samá pozitiva. Pravdou je, že co se týče ceny, tak je čaj skoro zadarmo. Upřímně řečeno to vysloveně není můj šálek a proto čaj hodnotím průměrem. Z vlastní zkušenosti doporučuji silně osladit medem.
A classic black tea with a slight kick. You can drink it unsweetened, but it’s basically a serum for waking the dead. I recommend sweetening it with honey; it gives the tea a pleasant flavor and makes it smoother. Roasting is ideal if done over a gas burner until it starts to smell nice. Be careful though—if you over-roast it, it’s no good.
Klasický černý čaj, mírně ostrý, dá se pít i neslazený, ale poté je to spíš sérum na probouzení mrtvého. Doporučuji pít slazené medem, dodá to čaji příjemnou chuť. A navíc je čaj i jemnější. Pražení je ideální, pokud se provádí nad plynovým hořákem, až do doby než začne příjemně vonět. Opatrnost je na místě, pokud se přepraží, není to dobré.
