The cult comic strip Red Meat has been appearing in the American press since 1989 – and with the rise of the internet, it became a cult classic here too. Albatros finally brings us the book edition of the first of three collections, curated by the author himself, Max Cannon. Over 110 pages, you'll dive into the author's bizarre world, packed with pitch-black humor, cruel exaggeration, chilling irony, and sarcasm. As one literary critic put it, Red Meat is "the only American comic that tickles your diaphragm with a chainsaw." It only makes sense that the Czech edition features a foreword by Petr Čtvrtníček, whose own humor is quite close to Cannon's.
