Oilpainting Tarot

A deck of 28 divination cards, paraphrasing the Major Arcana.

These cards invite you to play with associations and meanings. The colorful figures, abundance of symbols, and composition of each scene encourage you to unlock your intuition. The style and composition reinterpret the visual language of classic 15th and 17th-century Italian and French tarot decks.

Each deck is signed and numbered—these divination cards are produced in a limited edition of 250 copies.

Unlike the standard tarot system (22 cards in the Major Arcana), the Oilpainting Tarot contains 28 cards. Some classic tarot archetypes remain (Death, Wheel of Fortune, Temperance), others are reimagined (The Architect instead of The Hanged Man, The Argument Over a Shoe instead of Justice, etc.), and some are entirely new (e.g., The Hen).

The motifs on the cards were originally created as oil paintings for an art exhibition.

The deck contains a total of 30 cards: 28 divination cards, 1 card serving as a certificate of authenticity with a signature and deck number, and 1 card with a QR code leading to an online guidebook (also available as a PDF download). The guidebook is available in both Czech and English.

Each deck is numbered and signed by hand. The decks are identical, except for the handwritten number in the X/250 format.
