Bought it more or less by accident. It definitely surprised me. A well-crafted book with an interesting setting. As for the setting, it has a rather unique balance; it doesn't go into excessive detail about the world, yet it includes full descriptions of languages, including the script.
For players, it offers D&D subclasses, backgrounds, and new classes. One of the classes, the Master of Tradition, felt a bit bland and boring for gameplay. The rest, however, is worth it.
It features 2 specific mechanics for this setting: moon phases and Soul Points. Soul Points add an interesting horror aspect to both magic and standard weapons, while moon phases introduce spells and mechanics that behave differently depending on the phase.
I highly recommend it for fans of grimdark campaigns.
Pôvodne zakúpené viac menej náhodne. Rozhodne prekvapilo. Pekne spracovaná kniha, zaujímavý setting. Čo sa settingu týka, má trochu zvláštnejšiu rovnováhu, kde zároveń nezachádza do prehnaných detailov o svete, ale zároveň obsahuje celé popisky jazykov, vrátane písma.
Pre hráčov ponúka DD subclassy, background a nové classy. Jedna z class, Master of Tradition, mi prišla dosť nemastná neslaná, a ako niečo čo by u hry bolo dosť nudné. Zvyšok ale stojí za to.
Má v sebe 2 špecificke mechaniky pre sento setting, fázky mesiaca a Soul Points. Soul Points prinášajú zaujímavy aspekt do horroru ako pre magiu tak bežné zbrane. Zatiaľ čo mesačné fáze prinášajú spelly a mechaniky ktoré sa správajú inak podľa fáz mesiaca.
Vrelo odporúčam pre fanúšikou grimdark kampaní.
