A beautiful fairy-tale fantasy game that kept us up all night. Literally! We had to play through 2 chapters in a single evening. Prince Collin and his mouse friends completely enchanted us, especially the adorable Nez in his blacksmith apron—he's just awesome.
Gorgeous artwork and high-quality miniatures. The dice are well-balanced and the game isn't merciless. Whether you're playing with kids or on your own, you'll enjoy a thrilling adventure and these heroic mice will win you over.

Unfortunately, I have to take one star off for the box insert; Descent is in the same price category and has a sturdier, printed box interior.
Some might also criticize the lack of a Czech localization, which could be a problem for non-English speakers trying to understand the rules, though a fan translation can be found online.

Krásná pohádková fantasy hra, která nás nenechala spát. A to doslova! Museli jsme odehrát 2 kapitoly za jeden večer. Princ Collin a jeho myší přátelé nám velmi učarovali, zvláště roztomiloučký Nez v kovářské zástěře je prostě boží.
Nádherná grafika a kvalitní figurky. Kostky jsou dobře vyvážené a hra není nemilosrdná. S dětmi i bez dětí si užijete napínavé dobrodružství a hrdinné myšky si Vás získají.

Bohužel musím dát jednu hvězdu dolů za zpracování vnitřku krabice, ve stejné cenové kategorii je i Descent a ten má krabici pevnější a uvnitř potištěnou.
Leckdo také může vytknout chybějící českou lokalizaci, a u neangličtinářů může být problém pochopit pravidla, nicméně překlad hry lze nalézt na netu.

I'm really torn on this game. It's beautifully crafted, the story is a wonderful fairy tale, and the characters are cute and easy to empathize with. You'd think it's perfect for kids, but the game is deceptive. The scenarios are long, difficult, and rely heavily on luck with the dice.

If you're playing with kids, you'll need to lower the difficulty (you can find various house rules online), but the scenarios still feel uncomfortably long. That might not be an issue with adults, though. A big plus is that translated rules, scenarios, and cards are available for download online.

U téhle hry opravdu nevím. Hra je krásně zpracovaná, příběh je nádherná pohádka, postavy jsou roztomilé a člověk se do nich snadno vcítí. Člověk by řekl, ideální pro děti. Hra ale klame tělem. Scénáře jsou dlouhé, obtížné a hodně záleží na štěstí při hodu kostkou.

Při hře s dětmi se musí snížit obtížnost hry (různá homerules lze najít na internetu), ale stále jsou scénáře nepříjemně dlouhé. S dospělými to už problém být nemusí. Výhodou je, že přeložená pravidla, scénáře a karty jsou ke stažení na internetu.

The game is beautifully and simply designed, making it fun for both adults and kids. The story is fairytale-like and very well crafted. I definitely recommend it if you enjoy fairytales and adventure games.

Hra je krásně a jednodušše zpracovaná, jak dospělí tak i děti si v ní příjdou na své. Příběh je pohádkový a moc hezky vymyšlený, rozhodně doporučuju, pokud vás baví pohádky a dobrodružné hry.

After a long time, this game brings a fresh and original theme along with unique mechanics.
The game features stunning, high-quality artwork. It’s fun for adults, and with a little guidance, players as young as 8 can join in too. The mechanics are simple, yet the storytelling will pull you right into the action.

Po dlouhé době přichází tato hra s jiným a dosud neotřelým tématem a herním mechanismem.
Hra je graficky velmi nádherně a kvalitně zpracována. Pobaví se u ni jak dospělí, tak pod vedením dospělého je možné zapojit i hráče od 8 let. Jednoduchý herní mechanismus, který vás ale dokonale svým vyprávěním vtáhne do děje.

The game is very original. I was drawn in by the fairy-tale aesthetic and the campaign mode. It looks beautiful and the core mechanics are quite simple. However, I have a few complaints: First, the game is designed for scenario-based play (not as a campaign) – the campaign option feels like it was added later, and unfortunately, it shows. Furthermore, while the game principles are relatively simple, the game contains a large number of minor rules, so even by our fifth game, we are still frequently checking the rulebook. Ultimately, the game feels unfinished in the sense that even the author recommends a number of house rules, and the game feels unpolished. I would also like to add that I was really looking forward to the story, but I have to admit that we barely notice it during gameplay, and the narrative passages during scenarios are nowhere near as immersive as we had hoped. The miniatures are a bit challenging to paint because they contain quite a few hard-to-reach spots and very fine details (though they are very nice). You can play this in Czech – a fan-made translation for printing is available on Zatrolené hry.

Hra je velmi originalni. Zaujalo me pohadkove ladeni a kampanova hra. Graficky je nadherna a v zakladnich principech dost jednoducha. Ale mam ke hre nekolik vytek: Predne je hra designovana na scenarove hrani (ne jako kampan) - moznost kampane byla dle meho dodana az casem a je to na hre bohuzel poznat. Dale sou sice principy hry pomerne jednoduche,ale hra obsahuje velke mnozstvi drobnych pravidel,takze i pri pate hre casto hledame v pravidlech. Nakonec pusobi hra nedotazene v tom slova smyslu,ze i jeji autor doporucuje radu uprav pravidel a hra pusobi neodladene. Jeste bych rad dodal,ze jsem se velmi tesil na pribeh,ale musim priznat,ze jej behem hry skoro nevnimame a pribehove pasaze behem scenaru nejsou ani zdaleka tak vtahujici,jak jsme doufali. Figurky jsou k namalovani trochu narocnejsi,nebot obsahuji pomerne dost spatne pristupnych mist a velmi drobnych detailu (ale jsou velice hezke). Hru je možné počeštit - překlad k tisku je na zatrolených hrách.

A really nice game with a wonderful story and beautiful miniatures. I'm taking one point off for the not-so-original game system, and the rules could be written better.

However, painting the mice and their minions is a joy.

The game is suitable for children aged 7 and up.

Moc hezká hra, s přenádherným příběhem a krásnýma figurkama. Bod ubírám za nepříliš originální herní systém a pravidla by mohla být lépe napsaná.

Nicméně myšky, ale i nohsledy je radost malovat.

A fantastic story-driven game that, unlike the similar Stuffed Fables, focuses more on combat.
While the game might look friendly, it's no walk in the park—it can be quite ruthless at times.
It's a shame it hasn't been released in Czech, but it's easy enough to translate it yourself.

Skvělá příběhová hra, která je narozdíl od podobné Plyšové hlídky zaměřená spíše více na souboj. hra sice může vypadat přátelsky, ale nejedná se o lehkou hru - umí být někdy pěkně zákeřná.
jediná škoda je, že nevyšla česky, ale není problém si hru počeštit.

A great story-driven game. It's perfect for kids, but adults will enjoy it too. Once you finish the main story, you'll want to buy the expansions, though it will take you quite a while to beat all the quests anyway. The production quality is excellent, including the miniatures, cards, and everything else. The only downside was the player boards, which clearly got slightly scuffed by the weapons/miniatures during shipping. The enemy AI is pretty good and sometimes quite brutal—they can take out a hero in a single attack. You really need to plan your moves carefully and anticipate where the enemies can reach.

Super hra s příběhem, ideální pro děti, ale uspokojí i dospělé, po ohrání příběhu chce dokoupení rozšíření, na druhou stranu než se vám povede vyhrát všechny úkoly bude to trvat pěknou dobu. Zpracování super, miniatury, karty a vše. Jediné mínus měly desky, které se očividně lehce při dopravě odřeli o zbraně/miniatury. Celkem dobrá umělá inteligence nepřátel, někdy velmi nepříjemná, protože vám během jednoho útoku zabijí jednoho hrdinu, takže je nutno dobře plánovat, kde skončíte a kam tak mohou dojít nepřátelé.

Mice and Mystics was my first cooperative game and I have to say it exceeded my expectations. There's something new every time, it's not easy to beat, and that's exactly why it's so much fun in such a fantastic, fairy-tale setting.

Mice and Mystics, byla moje první kooperativní hra a musím říct že předčila očekávání, pokaždé něco nového, není jednoduché jí dohrát a proto je to zábava ve skvělém, pohádkovém provedení.

A brilliantly crafted family game. As a royal family cursed into the form of mice, you strive to reclaim your rule over the castle. Spiders, rats, and a dangerous cat stand in your way.

Skvěle zpracovaná rodinná hra. V roli královské rodiny zakleté do podoby myší se snažíte získat zpět vládu na hradem. V cestě vám stojí pavouci, krysy i nebezpečný kocour.
