The rules are quick to learn, the game isn't complicated at all, and its huge plus is the variability—thanks to 17 scenarios, every game is different. You'll also appreciate the high-quality miniatures. The only downside for some might be the English language, but a Czech translation of the rules and cards can be found online. 5 stars from me.

Dnes už kultová hra Memoir '44 určite poteší každého fanúšika vojnových hier. Pravidlá sa dajú naučiť rýchlo, v podstate hra nie je vôbec zložitá a jej ďalším veľkým plusom je variabilita - aj vďaka 17 scenárom je každá hra iná. Poteší tiež dobré spracovanie figúrok. Jedinou slabinou môže byť pre niekoho anglický jazyk, ale český preklad pravidiel a kariet sa dá dohľadať. Za mňa 5*.

An enjoyable two-player game set in World War II. It doesn't get old even after multiple playthroughs. The miniatures are decent.

I haven't played many games yet, but I already really like it. In my opinion, the biggest plus is the simplicity and speed of the game.
Even people who don't like long games will want to play it with you. You can finish scenarios in 30-60 minutes, even with swapping roles. The design of the characters and the game itself is also very nice. The only downside is the luck factor.
Your units can get stuck and not do much if you don't draw the right cards. The dice are another element of luck... But overall, I would recommend the game.

Sice jsem nestihl zahrát moc her, ale už tak se mi hra dosti líbí. Největší plus je dle mého jednoduchost a rychlost hry.
Hrát ji s vámi budou chtít i lidé, kteří nemají rádi zdlouhavé hry. Scénáře jde zahrát za 30-60 minut i s s tím, že si prohodite role. Zpracování postaviček a hry je také velice pěkné. Jediný nedostatek hry je náhoda.
Vase jednotky se mohou zaseknout a neudělat toho příliš, pokud vám nebudou chodit karty. Další nahoda jsou pak kostky... Ale celkově bych hru doporučil.

Our favorite strategy game. I've been playing it with my son since he was 8; English isn't an issue, the texts are simple and the command cards are easy to memorize. The core set is great for getting started, we've expanded it further (the terrain pack is essential).

I bought Memoir '44 a few days ago and I don't regret it one bit. The components are incredibly well-crafted, making every session a truly immersive experience.

The clear, beautifully illustrated rulebook features 15 different WWII battle scenarios. You step into the role of a general, using strategy and logic to lead your troops to victory. While combat relies on dice rolls, the game offers a perfect balance between strategy and luck—so blaming "bad dice" is usually just an excuse for a poor tactical decision.

The rules are simple, the games don't take long, and it's a great pick for everyone. The game is in English, which some might see as a downside, but I think any form of language learning is a plus—and learning through play is the best way. If you're not comfortable with English, you can easily find a Czech translation online.

Bottom line: I give this game 5 stars because it met all my expectations and even exceeded some. It's an absolute must-have for wargame fans and history buffs, and a refreshing change of pace for any board gamer. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Hru Memoir 44 som si zakúpil pred pár dňami a túto svoju kúpu ani prinajmenšom neľutujem. Prepracovanosť jednotlivých komponentov je na vysokej úrovni, čím hra ponúka skutočný zážitok pri hraní.

Prehľadné a graficky bohato spracované pravidlá ponúkajú 15 rôznych scenárov bitiek 2. svetovej vojny. Hráč sa vnára do roly generála a vďaka stratégii a logickému mysleniu vedie svoje jednotky za víťazstvom. Boj síce prebieha formou hodu kociek, no hra ponúka vyvážený systém stratégie a náhody, takže vyhovárať sa na "nešťastie v kockách" je zbytočné a mnohokrát ide iba o nesprávne taktické rozhodnutie.

Hra má jednoduché pravidlá, netrvá dlho a navyše je vhodná i pre nežné pohlavie. Ďalším plusom je anglický jazyk (pre niekoho negatívum). Ja som toho názoru, že akákoľvek forma výučby jazyka je pozitívna a takouto hravou formou je to vždy najlepšie. Pre neznalých je ale k dispozícii český preklad, ktorý sa dá zohnať na internete.

V závere: hre udeľujem 5 hviezdičiek, pretože presne splnila moje očakávania (niektoré dokonca predčila). Pre milovníkov vojnových hier úplná nutnosť, pre milovníkov histórie nutnosť, pre milovníkov iných spoločenských hier príjemná zmena. Vrele odporúčam ozaj každému

The game includes a rulebook and numerous scenarios where you build unique terrain using various hexes. You can recreate Omaha Beach or the brutal conquest of mountain bunkers, taking on the role of a commanding officer to solve the puzzle that every scenario undoubtedly presents.

Tato desková hra z prostředí druhé světové války je velice variabilní a dle mého názoru je zde ideálně vyvážený poměr schopnosti : náhoda. Kombinování front díky rozšířením otevírá možnosti týmové hry. Hra obsahuje příručku a množství scénářů, kdy si postavíte unikátní terén pomocí různých hexů. Tak může vzniknmout pláž Omaha, nebo tvrdé dobývání horských bunkrů, kdy se hráč postaví do role velícího důstojníka a musí rozluštit hádanku, kterou bezpochyby každý scénář je.
