The Mausritter box set is perfect for a quick start if you have no idea how to shrink your adventures down to mouse size. It includes a GM screen with reference tables, a stack of character sheets, the Honey in the Rafters adventure, a themed marker, and a beautifully crafted rulebook, all in a box large enough to hold a whole campaign.
It's just a bit of a shame that this deluxe edition doesn't include dice; I think players would appreciate those more than a marker.

Mausritter komplet je ideální pro rychlý začátek, pokud nemáte představu jak zmenšit vaše dobrodružství do myší velikosti. Zástěna s nápovědou, zásoba myších deníků, dobrodružství, med v trámoví, tématický fix a parádně vyvedená kniha pravidel v krabici, která je dost velká, aby do ní vešla sada dobrodružství.
Jen je trošku škoda, že luxusni balení nemá kostky, myslím, že by hráči ocenili víc než fix.

RPG připravené i pro menší děti. Jednoduché, rychlé a s připravenými dobrodružstvími i v češtině. Je to skvělý způsob, jak začít hrát s menšími dětmi. V jedné krabici máte vše, co potřebujete a ještě v hezké grafice.

Haven't played it yet, but I've heard great reviews. I'm really looking forward to playing it. The pack contains everything a DM could wish for. Everything is high-quality and well-crafted. I recommend buying it if you're still deciding whether to play D&D. This set is perfect for your first game.

Ještě nehráno, ale slyšela jsem na to skvělé recenze. A velmi se těším až to budeme hrát. Balíček obsahuje vše co by si DM mohl přát. Vše je kalitní a dobře zpracované. Doporučuji koupi pokud se ještě rozhodujete hrát Dnd. Tento set je pro první hraní velmi ideální.

Mausritter caught my attention so much that I couldn't resist and bought it along with the Estates expansion. After two games, I added the Bestiary to the collection as well.
It's clear that I rate the game highly: it has simple, understandable rules, adorable illustrations, and high-quality components in the box. It's a variation on OSR games, which means the rules intentionally lack detail, leaving it up to the DM to improvise and flesh things out according to the needs of their game and players. Mausritter is a great sandbox that you can build almost on the fly because it provides all the tools to do so. About half of the book consists of various random tables detailing what the world looks like over the next hill, what might happen there, and what the mouse-players might find. Apropos, mice: player characters are appropriately fragile, so they don't rush headlong into every danger, but instead plan and figure out how to overcome obstacles while staying alive. The inventory with clearly marked slots is also a great feature, and the fact that players fill it out physically—using paper item cards—wonderfully enhances immersion.

My mice successfully solved the problem of Stumps (the introductory adventure included in the book) and on the way back to town, they stumbled upon an inn with a smuggler's den underneath. Thanks to the manual, I was able to easily prepare a simple yet full-fledged dungeon for them to explore. I sometimes had to force myself to prepare for DnD, which I otherwise adore; here, I look forward to planning adventures much more.

Plus: when you buy all three localized products (Mausritter core set, Estates, Bestiary), you get a huge amount of content for many, many hours of gameplay for the price of less than two DnD manuals. Not to mention that you can find plenty of materials in PDF on the Mytago website, and a ton of content in English is also available on the original Mausritter site (from where I've already downloaded pre-drawn templates with cards for all the items mice can find in the game, as well as the Mauspunk module, which shifts the game into a cyberpunk setting.)

Mausritter ma zaujal natoľko, že som sa urvala a kúpila si ho rovno s rozšírením Zámeček. A po dvoch hrách som k tomu pridala aj Bestiář.
Je jasné, že hru hodnotím kladne: má jednoduché, zrozumiteľné pravidlá, rozkošné ilustrácie, kvalitné spracovanie všetkých komponentov v krabici. Ide o variáciu na OSR hry, čo znamená, že pravidlám chýbajú detaily naschvál a je na DMovi, aby občas zaimprovizoval a dotvoril si ich podľa potrieb svojej hry a hráčov. Mausritter je pekný sandbox, ktorý sa dá tvoriť takmer až za pochodu, pretože na to ponúka všetky nástroje. Cca polovicu knihy tvoria rôzne náhodné tabuľky toho, ako bude vyzerať svet za najbližším kopcom, čo sa tam môže stať a čo tam hráči-myši môžu nájsť. Apropos, myši: hráčske postavy sú primerane krehké na to, aby nešli po hlave do každého nebezpečenstva, ale aby plánovali a vymýšľali, ako prekážku prekonať a zároveň prežiť. Inventár s presne vyznačenými políčkami je tiež skvelý prvok a to, že si ho hráči napĺňajú reálne - fyzickými papierovými kartičkami s predmetmi - úžasne podporuje ponorenie do hry.

Moje myši úspešne vyriešili problém Pařeziniek (úvodné dobrodružstvo obsiahnuté v knižke) a cestou späť do mesta narazili na hostinec, pod ktorým má doupě pašerácka skupina. Vďaka príručke som bola schopná pripraviť bez problému jednoduchý, no plnohodnotný dungeon, ktorý môžu preskúmať. Do prípravy na DnD, ktoré inak zbožňujem, som sa občas musela nútiť; tu sa na plánovanie dobrodružstiev teším oveľa viac.

Navyše: pri kúpe všetkých troch počeštených produktov (Mausritter komplet, Zámeček, Bestiář) dostanete za cenu ani nie dvoch príručiek DnD obrovské množstvo obsahu na veľa, veľa hodín hrania. Nehovoriac o tom, že na webe Mytaga nájdete veľa materiálov aj v pdf a kopa obsahu v angličtine je aj na oridži webe Mausrittera (odkiaľ som už sťahovala predkreslené šablóny s kartičkami všetkých predmetov, kt. v hre myši môžu nájsť, ako aj modul Mauspunk, ktorý hru posúva do kyberpunkového prostredia.)

A great set for everyone playing Mausritter (or those who want to start). It includes almost everything you need for the game. The only thing missing is the dice.

Super sada pro všechny, co hrají (nebo ty, co chtějí začít hrát) mausrittera. Obsahuje skoro vše, co je na hru potřebné. Jediná věc co chybí jsou kostky.

I played it with my kids and wife several times, and the simplicity of the system worked perfectly. We just had to get used to the fact that playing strictly by the rules can be quite dangerous for the mice.

Hrál jsem to s dětmi a ženou několikrát a jednoduchost systému skvěle zafungovala. Jedině jsme si museli zvyknout, že hra přesně dle pravidel může být pro myšky dost nebezpečná.

The gameplay style didn't really grab me, and the Czech localization is a bit lackluster. However, I rate the set as a whole very positively. It's more of a collection of useful gaming accessories than actual written content.

Styl hry samotné mě příliš nezaujal. Česká lokalizace také spíše pokulhává. Velmi kladně ale hodnotím set jako celek. Jedná se spíše o různé doplňky, které jsou využitelné při hře, než o psaný obsah.

I bought this as an introductory RPG for my kids. Character creation for the mice is quick and simple. The character sheet is brilliantly designed, and the inventory system uses handy cards.

Koupil jsem pro děti jako vstupní RPG. Tvorba myšky je jednoduchá a rychlá. Výborně řešený deník. Inventář je dělaný pomocí kartiček.
