Mage Wars: Forcemaster vs. Warlord
Description
Mage Wars: Forcemaster vs. Warlord is an expansion for the Mage Wars board game. You need the base game to play.
Mage Wars: Forcemaster vs. Warlord is the first expansion set for Mage Wars, focusing on two schools of magic not emphasized in the core set: the Mind school and the War school.
The Forcemaster is a master of telekinetic power and mind magic. With a sharp intellect and telekinetic control, she manipulates the world around her. She is a lone warrior, but her abilities compensate for any shortcomings.
The Warlord is a master of the art of war. Soldiers obey his every command, goblin minions build siege towers and craft devastating explosives, and his band of legendary warriors follows him everywhere. The Warlord is, first and foremost, a commander of armies.
The expansion is in English.

I like Mage Wars more than Magic: The Gathering; you pay for spells with mana, and they are all available right from the start. The arena is a 3x4 grid, and with plenty of expansions, it offers great replayability.
The downside is that the sheer number of expansions—and even the base game itself—includes a lot of "traits," or status effects, advantages, and disadvantages that players need to keep track of, including their opponent's. Otherwise, you're in for an unpleasant surprise. For example, all undead are immune to psychic spells; if a player doesn't know that or fails to account for it, it can ruin their game if half their spellbook consists of those spells.
The game isn't very widespread here, and if you do find it, it's usually the streamlined version, Mage Wars Academy.
- Fun if you have someone to play with
- Fun deck-building experience
- Great variety, art, and spellbooks
- Development has stopped
- Not very common, hard to find players outside your home group
- Newcomers might be overwhelmed by the number of components and creature traits
- Building a good deck takes time
- Variace, art, spellbooky
- Vývoj se zastavil
- Není moc rozšířená, mimo domov se těžko shání hráči této hry
- Nováčci nemusí snést spoustu komponent, vlastností potvor
- Postavení dobrého decku zabere čas
