Description

The Wilds of Rhovanion is the seventh deluxe expansion for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. It adds 3 new scenarios that take you north along the mighty river Anduin, through Mirkwood, and to the prosperous city of Dale.

The expansion is in English and requires the core set to play.

"Dwarves had not passed that way for many years, but Gandalf had, and he knew how evil and danger had grown and thriven in the Wild, since the dragons had driven men from the lands, and the goblins had spread in secret after the battle of the Mines of Moria. Even the good plans of wise wizards like Gandalf and of good friends like Elrond go astray sometimes when you are off on dangerous adventures over the Edge of the Wild…"

How reviews work?

Lukáš H.

A bit of a throwback to the beginning, as the first two adventures also use cards from the core set.
The first adventure focuses heavily on enemies; it's not bad, but it doesn't really stand out. Lost in Mirkwood is more interesting, offering several different paths to progress, and you advance by completing objectives rather than collecting progress tokens, which is a nice change.
Kings Quest starts off heavily focused on locations and ends with a boss fight; it's not as interesting as the previous one, but it's definitely not a bad adventure.
Overall, it's a solid deluxe expansion, but I wouldn't recommend buying it as one of your first; it's better suited for players who already own several expansions and have a larger card pool for deck-building.

Trošku návrat k počátkům, první dvě dobrodružství využívají totiž i karty z core setu.
