I couldn't be happier with how FFG adapted the plot of The Hobbit (yes, they stick strictly to the books, so don't expect Tauriel (thankfully ;) )). You'll encounter a new mechanic for treasures, artifacts, and items iconic to Middle-earth (Glamdring, The One Ring, Arkenstone, and more) that you can earn during the campaign and use for the rest of it. The game simply won't let you sleep until Smaug falls to the black arrow of Bard the Bowman or the axe blows of your dwarves. It adds new, very powerful dwarves that, when combined with the first Hobbit expansion and the newly released Gandalf hero, allow you to build some truly great and thematic decks.

The game takes you into Mirkwood, crawling with spiders. From Bilbo's expedition and his timid sneaking and flattering of Smaug, all the way to the Battle of the Five Armies, where you'll finally defeat Bolg.
As always with this game, the artwork is stunning, and there are plenty of quotes from the book used as flavor text.
I recommend it to all fans. If you've just picked up the Core Set and are wondering where to go next, both Hobbit expansions are a great choice.

S tím jak FFG zpracovalo děj knížky Hobbita (ano, snaží se držet pouze knížek, takže Tauriel (naštěstí) nečekejte ;) ) nemohu být víc spokojen. Potkáte nový mechanismus pokladů, artefaktů a předmětů důležitých ve Středozemi (Glamdring, Jeden prsten, Arcikam a další), které v průběhu kampaně můžete získat a po její zbytek používat. Hra vám prostě nedá spát dokud Šmak nepadne pod černým šípem Bard the Bowmana nebo pod údery seker vašich trpaslíků. Přidává další, a velmi silné, trpaslíky, které vám v kombinaci s prvním rozšířením z děje hobbita a nově vyšlým hrdinou Gandalfem umožní postavit velmi dobré a tématické balíčky.

Hra vás zavede do Temného hvozdu plného pavouků. Přes výpravu Bilba a jeho nesmělé kradení a lichocení Šmakovi až k bitvě pěti armád, kde konečně zdoláte Bolga.
Jako vždy v této hře úžasná grafika a spousta citátu z knihy jako flavor texty.
Doporučuji všem fanouškům. Pokud jste zrovna pořídili Core set a přemýšlíte kam dál, obě Hobbití rozšíření jsou dobrá volba.

I think this one is a bit better than the previous adventure, which just copied the plot of The Hobbit. The adventures are quite a challenge, which is always better than being too easy. The new cards are a great addition, especially for dwarf decks. Overall, I consider these saga expansions a fantastic experience that will delight every book fan, especially because of how they let you interactively replay the events from the books. Definitely recommended.

Myslím, že o něco lepší než předchozí dobrodružství kopírující děj Hobita. Dobrodružství jsou docela výzva, což je vždycky lepší než kdyby byla úplně jednoduchá. Nové karty dobře doplní především trpasličí balíčky. Celkově považuji tyhle saga expansions za parádní záležitost, která musí potěšit každého fanouška knih, už díky tomu jakým způsobem umožňuje si události z knih interaktivně přehrát. Určitě doporučuji.

I wrote my review of the game itself for the core set. Lore: 100% Just like the first part, it perfectly captures the story of The Hobbit book (the fight with the spiders, Smaug's expulsion from the Lonely Mountain, and the Battle of the Five Armies). Player cards: 80% New Bilbo, Bard, Oin, and Balin as heroes. Again, the cards stay thematic to The Hobbit, so expect additions to dwarf decks. While the cards are decent, they feel a bit weaker and less interesting for non-dwarf decks compared to the first expansion. Scenario: 100% Once again, three scenarios with very unique elements. The second and third are also truly challenging in difficulty and will put your deck to the test. A very unique gaming experience, even better than the first part. Conclusion: 100% An absolutely perfect addition that significantly elevates the game, just like all other Saga expansions. I definitely recommend buying it.

Hodnocení samotné hry jsem napsal k základnímu setu. Lore: 100% Stejně jako první část, naprosto perfektně zachycuje děj knižního Hobita (Boj s pavouky, vyhnání Smauga z Osamělé hory a Bitvu pěti armád). Player cards: 80% Nový Bilbo, Bard, Oin a Balin jako hrdinové. Znovu se karty tematicky drží Hobita, čekejte tedy doplnění do trpasličích balíků. I když jsou karty slušné, oproti prvnímu dílu mi přijdou trochu slabší a méně zajímavé pro netrpasličí balíky. Scenario: 100% Opět tři scénáře s velmi unikátními prvky. Druhý a třetí jsou navíc obtížností skutečně velmi náročné a prověří váš herní balík. Velmi unikátní herní zážitek a ještě lepší než první díl. Závěr: 100% Naprosto dokonalá záležitost, která tuto hru výrazně posouvá na vyšší úroveň, stejně jako všechny ostatní Saga rozšíření. Rozhodně doporučuji zakoupit.
