Lord of the Rings LCG: Khazad-dûm

I can highly recommend this expansion.

I really love the Khazad-dúm expansion. Beautiful artwork and production quality. The quality is exactly what you expect from the game. The expansion includes the heroes Dwalin and Bifur. It focuses on Dwarves. For me, the hardest quest is completely impossible; the Nameless Fear enemy is practically unbeatable. You can easily solve the other two quests with a bit of caution and logic. If I could, I would give it 10 stars. An amazing big expansion for the core set.

Rozšíření Khazad-dúm se mi velice líbí. Krásná grafika i zpracování. Kvalita je taková, jakou můžete od hry očekávat. Rozšíření obsahuje hrdiny Dvalina a Bifura. Zaměřeno na trpaslíky. Pro mě nejtěžší dobrodružství naprosto nesplnitelné, nepřítele Bezejmený strach prakticky nejde porazit. Ostatní dvě dobrodružství s rozvahou a rozumem vyřešíte lehce. Kdybych mohl dal bych 10 hvězdiček. Úžasné velké rozšíření k základní sadě.

Lore: 60% The expansion focuses on the ruined dwarven kingdom of Moria, which is reflected in both the player cards and the three scenarios depicting the journey through Moria, as well as the indirectly related Dwarrowdelf cycle. FFG should be able to do better than this, though.
Player cards: 75% Dwalin and Bifur are rather average, and the same goes for the rest of the cards. However, as a whole, they allow for a fairly solid strategy for dedicated dwarf decks. If you want to play them, you need this expansion; otherwise, it won't do much for you.
Scenario: 80% At first glance, it's not a total flop, but the problem arises when you compare these scenarios to the Dwarrowdelf cycle, which returns to Moria and is a class above. Neither the difficulty nor the originality is particularly high. Even so, the encounter cards are the highlight of the pack.
Verdict: 70% Unfortunately, Khazad-Dum is a bit of a disappointment on its own. You will need it, however, if you want to play the excellent scenarios from the Dwarrowdelf expansion.

Hodnocení samotné hry jsem napsal k základnímu setu.
Lore: 60% Rozšíření se týkázničeného trpasličího království v Morii, čehož se drží jak hráčské karty, tak tři scénáře o průchodu Morií a následně i Dwarrodelf cyklus, který nepřímo navazuje. FFG by to mělo umět ale lépe.
Player cards: 75% Dwalin a Bifur jsou spíe průměr a to platí i o zbytku karet, nicméně jako celek poměrně dobře umožňují strategii samostatných trpasličích balíků. Pokud máte chuť jehrát pak je toto rozšíření potřeba, jinak Vám ale nepomůže.
Scenario: 80% Na první pohled sice nejde o žádný propadák, problém ale je pokud scénáře srovnáte s Dwarrowdelf cyklem, který se do Morie vrací a je o třídu výš. Obtížnost ani originalita není vysoká. I tak jsou karty zla to lepší z balení.
Závěr: 70% Bohužel sama o sobě je Khazad-Dum spíše zklamání. Budete ji ale potřebovat pokud chcete velmi zdařilé scénáře z Dwarrowdelf rozšíření.

This expansion brings a ton of new player cards, and the Dwarf cards are among the strongest in the game—with a solid Dwarf deck, you can handle most scenarios. I debated giving it five stars for a while, but there are better, tougher, and more well-designed scenarios in the Khazad-dûm cycle (which you can play by purchasing this expansion). Highly recommended for all Lord of the Rings LCG players.

Z rozšíření dostanete spoustu nových hráčských karet, přičemž právě trpasličí karty jsou jedny z nejsilnějších karet ve hře a se schopným trpasličím balíčkem si poradíte s většinou scénářů. Dlouho jsem se rozmýšlel zda dát pět hvězd, ale v Khazad-dum sérii jsou i lepší, těžší a lépe propracované scénáře (které můžete koupí tohoto scénáře hrát). Všem hráčům pána prstenů lcg doporučuji.
