Lilanga Extreme Memory Game
Description
The difficulty of this extreme memory game is higher than what you are used to with standard memory games. Remembering the main object on the card (e.g., "a pair of characters" or "a house") won't be enough. All paintings by Tanzanian artist Hendrick Lilanga look similar at first glance, yet each one is unique. With the Lilanga extreme memory game, you will need to engage one or more different types of memory. Discover your hidden memory capacity!
Try to:
- memorize the mini-story of the painting (engage your imagination and linear memory)
- memorize the background colors (no two cards are exactly the same – a challenge for your color perception)
- memorize a specific detail (abstract from the whole and focus on the detail and its position)
- memorize the characters' expressions (engage your empathy and emotional memory)
- memorize the layout of the painting (abstract from the specific and focus on the composition)

I played this memory game for the first time with kids at a camp, and I have to say, I've never played one this difficult before. We played it with four people for over an hour... it completely drains you. You definitely won't play it twice in a row. But it's a great way to kill some time...
