He was born on July 27, 1832, in Daresbury, England, and studied at Christ Church College in Oxford, where he later served as a mathematics professor. Dodgson was also a photographer and wrote numerous works on mathematics and logic. His books remain incredibly popular worldwide and have been translated into many languages. Lewis Carroll died on January 14, 1898, in Guildford, England.
