Description
In 1477, King Louis XI of France established the royal postal service. Over the centuries, it evolved into a complex network for delivering mail and goods. This system relied not only on post houses and horse-drawn carriages but also on riverboats. Most goods and information traveled through the Loire Valley in central France. Towns and villages along the river experienced their greatest period of development and prosperity during this time.
Who will become the wealthiest merchant or messenger in 15th-century France? Who will build the most luxurious palace or a thriving abbey? Who will become the most powerful figure?
