Indulgence
Description
In Catholic doctrine, an indulgence can be granted to remit the temporal punishment for sin. While this was sometimes achieved through charitable works or prayer, in darker times, indulgences were granted to anyone who could afford a significant "contribution." For prominent families in Renaissance Italy, indulgences provided a clear conscience for the actions and sins committed on their path to power.
In the card game Indulgence, you try to trick other players into committing sins without them having the necessary indulgences to cover them. At the same time, you must avoid committing sins yourself. The most successful player wins a pile of florins and the title of winner.
The game is in English.
