I wanted this chess set the moment I saw Ron riding the knight during that fateful game in The Philosopher's Stone. The chess pieces are made of hard plastic, and the board is cardboard. I was pleasantly surprised by the look and size of the individual pieces. The craftsmanship is truly luxurious, and they are great to play with. I highly recommend this to any fan of chess and Harry Potter. ❤️
Tyto šachy jsem chtěla hned po té, co jsem viděla Rona, jak sedí na koni při osudné šachové partii v Kameni Mudrců. Šachové figurky jsou z tvrdšího plastu, šachovnice je z kartonu. Byla jsem velmi překvapená vzhledem a velikostí jednotlivých figurek. Jejich zpracování je opravdu luxusní a skvěle se s nimi hraje. Mohu vřele doporučit milovníkům šachů a Harryho Pottera. ❤️
The chess set fully met my expectations. The board is beautiful, even though it's just made of hard cardboard. It's crafted excellently, so there's no risk of damage from normal use. The pieces are gorgeous and quite large. They're made of plastic and feel light in the hand. They are hollow inside, but fortunately, they are sealed at the bottom, which definitely improves the overall feel. For this price, I definitely recommend it!
Šachy plně splnily mé očekávání. Hrací deska je nádherná i když pouze z tvrdého kartónu. Zpracovaná však výborně a určitě nehrozí poškození běžným zacházením. Figurky jsou nádherné a poměrně veliké. Z plastu a do ruky lehké. Uvnitř jsou duté, ale naštěstí zespodu zaslepené, což určitě vylepšuje dojem. Za tu cenu určitě doporučuji!
The chess set ended up with a different kid than the one who wanted it, but they're getting a Lord of the Rings set this year. It costs a pretty penny, but the joy it brings is worth it.
Šachy nakonec dostalo jiné dítě, než co si je přálo, ale to letos dostane šachy z Pána prstenů. Leze to do peněz, ale radost je pak veliká.

Chess, chess, chess... it's so cool... authentic from the movie. But... where do they move? That's the missing piece. "Queen to E5" still gets no response. They just stand there like plastic figures. Perfect for collectors.

To musíte mať. Ide o nádherný šach z ríše Harryho Pottera, v ktorom Ron, Harry a Hermiona v diely Kameň Mudrcov zažili naozajstný boj. Detailné prepracovanie figúriek a ich podoba s filmovou predlohou je geniálna. Pri hraní takéhoto šachu to každého láka nie len sa sústrediť na hru, ale napodobovať pohyby a činy jednotlivých figúriek, tak ako vo filme. Nehrávate šach? Nevadí. S postavičkami sa na šachovnici dá zahrať aj bez šachových pravidiel. Čiže to musíte mať vo svojej zbierke Harryho Pottera.
Beautifully crafted chess set from the world of Harry Potter. I was a bit disappointed by the black pieces, though.
There are some white spots on most of them. I was assured that this is how it's supposed to be, which is a real shame. But that's the only thing I can complain about.
Nádherně zpracované šachy ze světa Harryho Pottera. Akorát mě trošku zklamaly černé figurky.
Na většině figurek jsou jakési bílé skvrnky. Byl jsem ujištěn že to tak opravdu má být. Což se velká škoda. Ale je to jediná věc co mohu vytknout.
