Great Western Trail: Argentina

Argentina is a standalone game based on the mechanics of the original Great Western Trail. You become the owner of a vast ranch in 19th-century Argentina, driving your cattle across the Pampas plains to the main railway station in Buenos Aires.

You gain a new type of worker—the farmer—along with new routes for your herds. Will you take the path with buildings, or ride past the farmers? If your strong cattle help them out, you might win the farmers over, earning you grain—a new resource used for ships and city tiles.

Alternatively, take a shortcut to reach Buenos Aires faster. You lose the chance to use action buildings, but you might catch your opponents off guard, leaving them to watch the ship sail away as they arrive. Timing your arrival at the station is crucial, as the best bonuses await on the city port tiles.

While it is easier to earn money in the Argentina version, you face more challenges than in the classic game (such as the "exhaustion" card).

The game includes a solo mode where Pedro is already waiting impatiently to see if you can beat his score.
