Description
The strategy game Fief: France 1429 takes you to France in 1429, where you play as powerful nobles vying for control over the largest fiefdom. Each round, you acquire royal and ecclesiastical assets, such as churches, which allow you to influence the election of the next Pope and King. Noble houses solidify their standing through arranged marriages, and alongside diplomacy, you will encounter love, betrayal, and deceit.
In this game, you can earn royal titles like Baron, Count, or Duke, and even vie for the throne. Some family members may answer the call of the Church to become Bishops or Cardinals, earning you tithes. The ultimate goal is the Papal throne.
The winner is the first player to reach 3 victory points. That is easier said than done. You might need to form alliances with other players through diplomacy and marriage to reach your goal. In that case, the houses (players) become allies and can win the game together with 4 victory points. However, your marriage might be annulled by the Pope, or your spouse might "mysteriously" perish…
The game is in English.
