The Fantasy World Creator is the perfect tool for every tabletop RPG or wargaming player.

It lets you assemble almost any battlefield from various tiles. You can draw on the tiles with dry-erase markers, allowing you to shape virtually anything from the original square pieces. The package also includes character and monster cards, plus a bag of stands in case you don't have better miniatures.

The main downside is the lack of a system for organizing the tiles in the box. They basically sit in the box in a jumble, making it hard to find what you need.

Another point is that the tiles fit together quite loosely. This is both an advantage and a disadvantage. On one hand, they don't hold firmly and can easily come apart with a clumsy move—but on the other hand, they are easy to pack away, and you can quickly swap one tile for another during the game without any hassle.

Umoznuje poskladat z rozdilnych dilku temer libovolne bojiste. Na dilky se da kreslit stiratelnymi fixami a tim se z puvodne ctvercovych dilku da vytvarovat v podstate cokoliv. Soucasti baleni jsou i karticky postav a monster, a k tomu sacek stojanku, pokud nemate lepsi figurky.

Jako hlavni minus bych oznacil to, ze chybi nejaky system na skladani dilku do krabice. V podstate v krabici lezi bez ladu a skladu a muze byt tezko se v ni zorientovat.

Dalsi poznamkou je to, ze dilky do sebe zapadaji dost volne. Je to zaroven vyhoda a nevyhoda. Na jednu stranu nedrzi pevne a nesikovnym pohybem se jednoduse rozpoji — ale na druhou stranu se dobre sklizi a pokud chcete, muzete behem hry jednoduse vymenit jeden dilek za druhy bez slozitejsiho zasahu.

It’s a pricey affair, but if you add up the costs of tiles, miniatures, and paints, it works out much cheaper. The box contains various types and sizes of tiles. You’ll find city cobblestones, nice flooring, temple tiles, plain dirt, and several others. It also includes tokens for roofs, bushes, tents, and other bits and bobs. In short, tons of resources to create an awesome map.

A big plus is the number of player character cards and stands, which serve as a decent substitute for miniatures. The cards also cover a much larger number of beasts based on the D&D bestiary.

What definitely comes in handy are the whiteboard tiles for players to track health, attacks, bonuses, and similar fun stuff. All pieces are essentially whiteboards, so you can draw and write on any of them. Whether it's environmental elements or marking movement or difficult terrain. For the map in the photo, I used an estimated 35% of what you find in the box.

Now for the downsides. If you try to build a massive map, the pieces stop fitting together perfectly. Also, you can't build a huge map using only one type of terrain, as there is a limited amount of each. The character cards are great, but miniatures are still much more practical.

I almost forgot the status tokens, which you’ll find in the box and are absolutely brilliant. All in all, the box provides a rock-solid foundation for map building that you can expand with other accessories. Some character cards are blank, so you can draw on them yourself and aren't limited by the selection. With the amount of furniture tokens, you can furnish a house, cover it with a roof, and just wait for the players to walk in. A fantastic set, I recommend it to every GM.

Je to dráha záležitost, nicméně kdyby jste si sečetli náklady na podklady, figurky a barvy, vyjde vás to o dost dráž. Krabice obsahuje různé druhy a velikosti podkladů. Najdete tam městkou dlažbu, pěknou podlahu, chrámovou dlažbu či obyčejnou hliněnou zem, plus několik dalších. Obsahuje i žetony střech, křoví, stanů a jiných serepetiček. Zkrátka kvanta a kvanta prostředků k vytvoření parádní mapy.

Velké plus je množství kartiček hráčských postav a stojanů, které obstojně nahradí minifigurky. Kartičky patří i několikrát většímu množství bestií, které vycházejí z bestiáře DnD.

Co se určitě hodí jsou whiteboard tabulky pro hráče, kteří si na nich mohou značit životy, útoky, bonusy a podobné srandy. Všechny díly jsou vlastně whiteboard, takže do jednoho je můžete pokreslit a popsat. Ať už prvky okolí, nebo značením pohybu či těžkého terénu. Na mapu sestavenou na fotce jsem použil odhadem 35%, které naleznete v balení.

Teď ale k minusum. Pokud se pustíte do skládání velemapy, dílky do sebe pak už přestávají zapadat. Zároveň nemůžete udělat celou velemapu z jednoho druhu podkladu, protože každého druhu podkladu je zde jen omezené množství. Kartičky postav jsou parádní, nicméně minifigurky jsou stále mnohem praktičtější.

Ještě jsem zapomněla na žetony stavů, které v balení najdete a jsou naprosto parádní. Zkrátka a dobře, krabice vám poskytne naprosto solidní základ pro budování map, který můžete obohatit dalšími doplňky. Některé kartičky postav jsou volné a můžete si je i pokreslit, takže nejste omezeni výběrem. S množstvím žetonů nábytku si můžete dům i vybavit a přikrýt střechou a pak už jen čekáte, až do něj hráči vejdou. Parádní sada, doporučuji pro každého GM.
