El Caballero is a strategy board game where you explore islands recently discovered by Columbus. Search for riches in the form of gold and fish. As you discover land and sea areas of the New World, strive to maintain control over them using your caballeros. Castles (castillos) provide protection from opponents, while ships allow you to build trade routes and fish to ensure a steady food supply. Success is measured by the size of the land and sea areas you control—this is scored twice during the game, and the player with the best overall result wins.
