At the core of this unit's concept lies the imaginative idea of a rider and horse merged into a single specter, embarking on an endless hunt for its victims. The resulting miniature is roughly humanoid but features a horse skull. Naturally, it is a specter, as this is part of the Nighthaunt army—the ghostly hordes of Death serving the self-proclaimed god Nagash. As a concept and a potential base for building an even more attractive original figure, it is incredibly interesting. However, as a Warhammer miniature, it is just so-so. First of all, these models were part of the smallest starter set for the 2nd edition of Age of Sigmar. They are very easy to build, but they have fixed poses, and the model itself is limited by the push-fit design. They also lack many details, save for the necessary graveyard fences on the base. Like other simple Nighthaunt models, the Stalkers practically beg for the use of Citadel Contrast paints and creative work with shadows and color transitions. It is a great practice model. The stumbling block, however, is gameplay. These models essentially have the stats of light cavalry. They don't take much punishment, and their only special ability focuses on the first hit after a charge. They are a typical unit you use to spice up an already well-prepared offensive maneuver by a main unit. Given the inherent mobility of the Nighthaunt (as ghosts, they ignore terrain), I can also imagine this unit making independent raids behind enemy lines to harass archers, catapults, and the like. But I fear the unit is a bit too fragile for such use, and given its threat level, the opponent will pay it the attention it deserves. We use Stalkers only rarely at home because they don't fit the style of our Banshee army, but perhaps we will give them a chance with the new, hopefully better, rules in the 3rd edition.

V jádru koncepce této jednotky je imaginativní nápad jezdce a koně sloučených v jeden přízrak, který podniká nekonečnou štvanici svých obětí. Výsledná figurka je tedy zhruba humanoidní, ovšem s koňskou lebkou. A pochopitelně je to přízrak, protože toto je armáda Nighthaunt, přízračných hord Smrti podřízená samozvanému bohu Nagashovi. Jako nápad a jako případný základ pro konstrukci nějaké ještě atraktivnější originalní figury je to nesmírně zajímavé. Ovšem jako figura do Warhammeru je to takové so-so. Předně byly tyto modely součástí té nejmenší začátečnické sady pro 2.edici Age of Sigmar, jsou tedy velmi jednoduché na stavbu, ale taky mají jen pevně dané pózy a samotný model je omezen tlakem na to, aby figura šla sestavit bez lepení. Rovněž nemají příliš mnoho detailů snad vyjma nezbytných hřbitovních plotků na podstavci. Podobně jako ostatní jednoduché modely armády Nighthaunt i Stalkeři přímo zvou k použití barev Citadel Contrast a tvořivé práci se stíny a barevnými přechody. Jako cvičný model je to skvělé. Kamenem úrazu je ovšem hratelnost. Tyto modely mají v zásadě herní parametry lehké jízdy. Nic moc nevydrží a jejich jediná speciální schopnost je zaměřena na první ránu po útoku ztečí. Takže typická jednotka, kterou opepříte již dobře připravený ofenzivní manévr nějakou jednotkou hlavní. Vzhledem k implicitní pohyblivosti Nighthaunt (jako přízraky ignorují terén) si rovněž dovedu představit samostatné rejdy této jednotky za nepřátelskou linií a otravování života různým lučištníkům, katapultům apod. Ale obávám se, že na takové užití je jednotka přeci jen poněkud křehká a vzhledem k její nebezpečnosti jí protivník bude věnovat náležitou pozornost. U nás doma používáme Stalkery spíše výjimečně, protože se do naší armády hejkalů/Banshees stylově nehodí, ale třeba jim s novými, snad lepšími, pravidly ve 3.edici dáme šanci.

The models are really easy to assemble and highly detailed, especially the bases.
This set specifically offers a choice (weapon or drum, as shown in the attached photo), which is not common for simpler kits.

Modely jsou opravdu jednoduché na složení, detailně provedené, hlavně tedy podstavce.
Konkrétně u tohoto setu je možnost volby (zbraň nebo buben, jak je patrné z přiložené fotografie), což není u jednodušších stavebnic zvykem.
