Easy to Build - Warhammer: AoS Nighthaunt Myrmourn Banshees

They arrived just today and I rushed to the pickup point to get them. Fast delivery as always and the figures are beautiful. Easy to assemble.
Simple and perfect for beginners like me. I'm already looking forward to painting them.

Akurát dnes mi prišli a hneď som po ne utekala do zasielkovne. Dodanie opäť rýchle a figúrky sú krásne. Ľahko skladateľne.

Pretty simple figures with quite visible joints, but you can still have a lot of fun with them. They are relatively large and the bases are very detailed.

Celkem jednoduché figurky, spoje jsou dost viditelné, ale i tak se s nimi dá pěkně vyhrát. Jsou poměrně velké a podstavce velmi detailní.

It’s obvious at first glance that these miniatures were originally designed for the basic starter set of the 2nd edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. They have very few parts and are relatively easy to assemble. They offer no options for posing or weapon variations, and if you play them according to the current Nighthaunt Battletome rules, you’ll find these wailing aunts are pretty much useless. They’re also a bit meh when it comes to painting. If you use Citadel Contrast paints, you can try out various color transitions and shades, but the simple sculpt lacks the detail to be truly inspiring. Maybe only the graveyard fences on the bases have some charm. According to their special unit rules, these banshees should be able to drain enemy spells in their vicinity, but they don't perform well in this role—the ability is weak, and the Nighthaunt generally don't struggle much with enemy magic anyway. This army already has plenty of mages; after all, they’re undead, and they’d be lost without their necromancer summoners. Myrmourn Banshees are therefore somewhat redundant, and given their poor combat performance, they don't even hold up as infantry. At best, they serve as army filler, where their low points cost and high mobility let them bully tucked-away archers or war machines. Hopefully, they’ll be better balanced in the new Nighthaunt Battletome :(

Na těchto figurkách je na první pohled poznat, že byly původně určeny pro ten úplně nejzákladnější starter set 2.edice Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Mají minimum dílků, relativně snadno se sestavují. Nemají žádné možnosti variace poloh nebo výzbroje a pokud je budete hrát podle aktuálních pravidel v Battletome Nighthaunt, zjistíte, že jsou tyhle ukvílené tety vpodstatě dost nanicovaté. Rovněž pro barvení jsou takové hmm, hmm. Pokud je budete barvit barvami Citadel Contrast, pravědpodobně na nich můžete zkoušet různé barevné přechody a stíny, ale díky jednoduché konstrukci je ten model prostě příliš málo členitý, aby byl inspirativní. Snad jen ty hřbitovné plůtky na podstavcích mají své čaro. Podle speciálních pravidel jednotky, by měly být tyto hejkalky schopné odsávat protivníkova kouzla ve svém okolí, ale v této roli příliš neobstrojí, protože je ta schopnost jednak slabá a jednak nemají Nighthaunt obecně s protivníkovou magií nijak velké potíže. Mágů je v této armádě implicitně dostatek, konečně jsou to vpodstatě nemrtví a bez nekromantů-vyvolávačů by byli dost nahraní. Myrmourn Banshee jsou tak tedy poněkud nadbytečné a vzhledem ke své mizivé bojové výkonnosti neobstojí ani jako pěchota. Nanejvýše jako vycpávka armády, kde mohou díky nízké bodové ceně a velké pohyblivosti sloužit třeba jako šikanátor zastrčených lučištníků nebo válečných strojů. No snad budou v novém Battletome Nighthauntu lépe pořešené :(
