Dungeons and Lasers made some awesome miniatures, I was really looking forward to buying this box.

Dungeons and lasers spravil super figurky, veľmi som sa tešila keď si kúpim tento box.

The miniatures are beautifully detailed. You need to be careful when assembling the individual parts, but putting the figures together lets you admire them even more and imagine which stories your new NPCs will fit into. I used Army Painter glue, also bought at imago, and I'm very happy with it.

Figúrky sú krásne detailné. Pri skladaní jednotlivých častí je nutné byť opatrný, no pri skladaní jednotlivých figúriek si ich aspoň o to viac poobzeráte a v mysli už zapájate do rôznych príbehov, kam by sa vám tieto NPC hodili. Lepidlo som použila Army painter, tiež kúpený v imagu s ktorým som veľmi spokojná.

Let's start with the negatives:

• The plastic is a bit softer than, for example, GW. It's not brittle, but you need to be careful with finer parts so you don't accidentally bend them (it happened to me while cleaning the model of sprue remnants).
  
• Double-check that you have all the parts. Out of the 4 sets I've received from Archon Studios so far, one was missing a base sprue and another had an extra figure sprue. Archon will send you a replacement if you report the defect, but it's still a hassle.
  
• The figures are on the smaller side. I get the feeling that newer sets have slightly larger average sizes, while these were made smaller. It's noticeable mainly with the human figures, which are a tad smaller than standard D&D miniatures. Not by much, but it's visible.
  And now the pros:
  
• Even though you have to assemble the figures and they come in many parts, it's clear a lot of effort went into making the joints as invisible as possible. You won't have to fill visible seams with green stuff like you might with Nolzur's or Reaper miniatures.
  
• The figures are truly detailed, and each comes with very nice bases.
  
• Some figures are modular, so you can choose which weapon or arm they have. There aren't many in this set, but it's still a nice touch.
  
• And last but not least, the set is really great value. There's a decent number of figures, and they all look really good—the renders actually look worse than the models themselves.
  
  

As you can see, there are some negatives, but these are things to keep in mind rather than actual product flaws. That's why I'm giving it a full rating.

Začnu negativy:

• plast je trochu měkčí než třeba od GW. Není křehký, ale u jemnějších věci si musíte dávat pozor, abyste si je omylem nezohli (stalo se mi to při čištění modelu od zbytků plastu z rámečku).
  
• překontrolujte si, že máte všechny dílky. Ze 4 sad, co jsem zatím od Archon Studios obdržel, v jedné chyběl rám s podstavci a v druhé byl rám s figurkami navíc. Archon vám při oznámení defektu pošlou náhradu, ale i tak je to nepříjemné.
  
• figurky jsou spíše menší. Mám pocit, že novější sady mají figurky o trochu větší průměrné velikosti, tyto se dělaly ještě menší. Je to poznat hlavně u lidských figurek, které jsou o ždibec menší než klasické DnD figurky. Ne o moc, ale je to vidět.
  A teď ty klady:
  
• figurky musíte sice sledovat a jsou z hodně dílů, ale je vidět, že velká snaha byla vynalozena na to, aby spoje mezi díly byly vidět co nejméně. Nečeká vás tedy nutnost zadelavat viditelné spoje green stuffem jako třeba u Nolzur's miniatures nebo Reaper miniatur.
  
• figurky jsou opravdu detailní a ke každé jsou i moc pěkné podstavce.
  
• některé figurky jsou modulární, takže si můžete vybrat, jakou zbraň či ruku bude mít. V této sadě jich není mnoho, ale i tak to potěší.
  
• a v neposlední řadě je sada opravdu velmi dobrá value. Je tam celkem množství figurek a všechny jsou opravdu pěkné -- rendery vypadají hůře než samotné modely.
  
  

Jak je vidět, nějaká negativa tam jsou, ale jedná se spíše o věci, se kterými je třeba počítat než o nevýhody produktu. Proto hodnotím za plný počet.

Dungeons and Lasers is probably my new favorite brand; this is already my second box. The miniatures look great, even though gluing some of them is a real pain. Regardless, there's a huge variety of characters available, which is a great addition even to my already decent collection.

Also, I have to say that 68 miniatures is a daunting amount. Unlike with smaller packs, I can't seem to paint everything systematically, so my pile of shame is growing...

Dungeons and Lasers je asi moje nová oblíbená značka, tohle už je druhá krabice. Figurky jsou pěkné, i když na některých místech je lepení za trest. Každopádně je tady k dispozici obrovská šíře charakterů, a to i pro mojí už docela obstojnou sbírku.

Zároveň nutno dodat, že 68 figurek, to je až zastrašující množství, oproti menším balením tady neumím systematicky vybarvovat všechno, takže roste pile of shame...

Great value for money and high quality. I also have the second Townfolk set and the miniatures are beautiful and detailed. They are easy to assemble and well-made. The pack contains a diverse range of NPCs to bring your D&D 5e sessions to life.

Za malo penazi vela muziky v dobrej kvalite. Mam aj druhu sadu Townfolk a figurky su krasne a detailne. Lahko sa skladaju a vyhotovenie kvalitne. Balenie obsahuje pestru paletu npc postav na dotvorenie atmosfery k D&D 5e.

Assembly (gel glue from Imago works best) is easy, everything is labeled with letters like A1 - A3 directly on the blister pack. Painting (this time not Imago, but AK paints) is simple and incredibly fun; details pop even after a brush-on primer.
