You can buy maps for all encounters, as well as the town and its surroundings, directly from the original author of the maps included in the adventure. I personally had them printed on high-quality paper for a better gaming experience.

I also recommend getting a DM screen; the Wilderness Kit and DM Screen Reincarnated are a perfect fit for this adventure.

Besides that, you'll definitely want more dice sets. While you can play with just one set for everyone, it's a struggle. Ideally, every player, including the DM, should have at least one set of dice and a place to roll them. You can easily buy everything right here in our e-shop, so don't worry about missing anything.

Na internete sa dajú dokúpiť od pôvodného autora máp v priloženom dobrodružstve mapy všetkých stretnutí ako aj mestečka a okolia kde sa dobrodružstvo odohráva. Osobne som si ich dal potom vytlačiť na väčšom kvalitnom papieri pre lepší zážitok z hry.

Takisto odporúčam kúpiť si nejaký DM screen, Wilderness Kit a DM Screen Reincarnated sa k tomuto dobrodružstvu veľmi hodia.

Okrem toho ešte určite dalšie kockové sety, kedže s jedným pre všetkých hráčov sa hrať síce dá, ale ťažko. Ideálne je ak má každý hráč vrátane DM aspoň jeden set kociek a miesto kde ich hádzať. Všetko sa dá v pohode dokúpiť priamo v tomto e-shope, a tak sa netreba báť, že bude niečo chýbať.

I definitely recommend this to all beginner players. It has everything you need for your first game. Nothing more, nothing less. Even so, everything is well-crafted, the rules are limited to the absolute basics, and the starter story is fun despite its simplicity.

Rozhodně doporučím všem začínajícím hráčům. Je zde vše, co je k první hře potřeba. Nic víc, nic míň. Přesto je vše hezky zpracované, pravidla se omezují jen na úplný základ a startovní příběh je zábavný, navzdory svojí jednoduchosti.

As a beginner DM, I'm planning a "light" adventure and this one is well-prepared. Now I'm just curious to see how the others will like it :)

Jako začínající DM plánuji nějaké "lehké" dobrodružství a toto je dobře připravené. Už jsem jenom zvědavý, jak to chytne ostatní :)

I'll confess without torture, I was a bit disappointed. When this box came out, it was definitely, as the name suggests, an excellent set for beginners.
But the newly released Essentials Kit simply crushes it. Yes, this set includes pre-generated characters and basic rules, but creating your own character is one of the main joys of Dungeons & Dragons.
The campaign from the EK (Dragon of Icespire Peak) is much more epic than Lost Mine of Phandelver. This is definitely not a bad product or a waste of money, and I'm sure it will suit many people better than the EK, but personally, I would recommend the EK.

Přiznám se bez mučení, byl jsem trochu zklamán. Když tahle krabička vyšla, určitě to byl, jak jméno napovídá, výborný set pro nováčky.
Ale nově vydaný Essentials kit ho prostě válcuje. Ano tahle sada obsahuje předpřipravené postavy a základní pravidla, ale tvorba vlastní postavy je jedna z hlavních radostí Dungeons and dragons.
Kampaň z EK (dragon of Icespire peak) je mnohem epičtější než Lost mine of Phendelver. Rozhodně toto není špatný produkt, nebo ztráta peněz a jsem si jist, že spoustě lidí bude vyhovovat více než EK, ale já bych osobně doporučil EK.

It arrived this morning, so these are more or less my first impressions.
This is my first experience with D&D, and everything here is described so simply and clearly that anyone can grasp the basic rules. The only thing I regret is the English language. A Czech localization would definitely make reading and "absorbing" the rules easier.

Dnes dopoledne přišla takže se jedná víceméně o první dojmy.
Je to moje první zkušenost s DnD a všechno je zde opravdu popsáno jednoduše a srozumitelně tak, že základní pravidla pochopí snad každý. Jediné co mě mrzí je angličtina. Česká lokalizace by čtení a "vstřebávání" pravidel určitě usnadnila.

The rulebook contains everything essential, yet it's concise enough compared to the Player's Handbook so it won't overwhelm anyone. It's divided into logical sections and is easy to navigate.

We didn't use the pre-generated characters ourselves, but if you want to start playing right away instead of spending hours creating your own, they are perfect. They include enough variety for everyone to choose from, whether you want to play a fighter, mage, healer, or rogue.

The included adventure is excellent as a first story in the D&D world. The events flow well, and the goal of the story is clear, yet it still gives players enough freedom to choose which path they want to take. The book describes almost every action players might attempt and how the Dungeon Master should react. The adventure lasts for 5 or more sessions, depending on how efficient the players are and how thoroughly they want to explore everything.
The dice are beautiful, but I would have appreciated more 20-sided dice in the set, as those are the ones used most frequently.

The only thing I really missed in the set, which I ended up making at home, is a physical copy of the map of the region where the adventure takes place, as well as player maps for individual chapters without secret doors and similar spoilers marked.

Príručka pravidiel obsahuje všetko dôležité, ale zároveň je oproti Player's Handbook dosť krátka na to, aby nikoho neodradila. Je rozdelená do zmysluplných celkov a ľahko sa v nej vyhľadáva.

Prepripravené postavy sme osobne nevyužili, ale ak chce niekto rovno začať hrať, a nie stráviť pár hodín vytváraním vlastnej postavy, tak sú určite ideálne. Obsahujú dosť rozličných charakterov, aby si vybral každý, či už chce hrať bojovníka, mága, liečiteľa alebo zlodeja.

Priložené dobrodružstvo je skvelé ako prvý príbeh v D&D svete. Udalosti na seba pekne nadväzujú, a je jasné, k čomu celý príbeh smeruje, ale stále dáva hráčom dosť slobody vybrať si, ktorým smerom sa chcú uberať. V knihe sú popísané takmer všetky možnosti, čo by sa hráči mohli pokúsiť urobiť, a akým spôsobom má na to Dungeon Master zareagovať. Dobrodružstvo vystačí na 5 a viac sedení, podľa toho, akí efektívni sú hráči, a ako dôkladne chcú všetko preskúmať.
Kocky sú krásne, ale ocenila by som, keby bolo v sade viac 20-stenných kociek, keďže sú to tie, čo sa najčastejšie používajú.

Jediná vec, čo mi v sade naozaj chýbala, a potom som ju vyrábala doma, je fyzická kópia mapy krajiny, kde sa dobrodružstvo odohráva, a rovnako aj mapy jednotlivých kapitol pre hráčov, bez vyznačených tajných dverí a podobne.

A great start for anyone looking to enter the world of D&D, whether as a player or a Dungeon Master.
