Want to spice up your look for a cosplay event or a LARP adventure?
Dryad Dreadlocks on a hair tie let you upgrade your style quickly and easily. They are guaranteed to turn heads, and you don't have to braid your own hair to wear them.
A total of 15 varied braids will take your outfit to the next level and give it that desired flair.
The dreadlock hair tie is made of 100% kanekalon. These are fake dreads with a texture very similar to real hair dreadlocks. With fake dreads, the rule is that the older (more worn) they are, the more natural they look. They are made using the crochet method. Each strand is backcombed and then manually crocheted with a fine hook until a solid dread is formed. It is then steamed with hot water, which tightens the strand. You can then wrap it around a rod or a wooden spoon and let it dry to create a wavy dread.
The fake dreads are accented with kanekalon braids for extra flair. You can decorate the dreads with beads, wrap them with yarn, etc.
About the material Kanekalon:
EZ 100% Cocktail Kanekalon is a type of material designed for rasta braids, twists, braided extensions, and high ponytails. EZ 100% Cocktail Kanekalon can also be used to create extravagant hairstyles and hairpieces.
How to care for your hairpiece - maintenance:
Simply pour hot water from a kettle over the entire dreadlock hair tie to seal the dreads nicely. It is possible that wavy dreads might straighten out, but this is easy to fix. Just pour hot water over them, wrap them around a wooden spoon, and let them dry. Once in a while, roughly every 6 months depending on how often you wear the hair tie, you can wash it in a washing machine on a delicate cycle at max 30 degrees with a low spin speed. Then let it air dry.
