I've had the D&D Miniatures: Icons of the Realms - Curse of Strahd: Legends of Barovia set for a month now.
It contains seven figures of the main characters from the Curse of Strahd adventure of the same name, which was released as a standalone publication. The most remarkable and likely most sought-after figure is the main antagonist, Count Strahd von Zarovich (in the center of the attached photo), which is exactly why I bought it. Compared to his variant from Monster Menagerie 1, he looks less scary and aggressive, but you can't say it's worse—Count Strahd with a goblet (of blood?) and his hand on his sword, wearing a pensive expression.

The figure of Ezmerelda d'Avenir on the far left of the photo looks like a prettier girl compared to the version from Monster Menagerie 1.
To her right is Madame Eva, who has a relatively youthful appearance for a seer.
The creepy jester figure standing in front of them looks appropriately dark, though perhaps its head could be tilted up more to make its face stand out.
To the right behind the Strahd figure, you can see van Richten in a dramatic pose with a cane, looking much more civilian than his version from D&D MINIATURES.
To the right of Strahd stands Baba Lysaga, a creepy crone standing on skulls.
To her right is a member of the Mongrelfolk hybrid race, with one inhuman leg (bird or reptile?), which is probably the most eye-catching detail, especially since their hump serves as storage space for a small chest.

The figures are detailed and have nice poses, but I consider paint bleed to be the biggest drawback. In my set, this affects Strahd's hand on the goblet (imperfect coloring) and Ezmerelda's face (pink paint bleed); in this regard, they didn't receive as much care as, for example, the Cave Defenders kobold-bugbear-ogre set.

The packaging also deserves special attention—a box with a window showing the figures set into a molded plastic tray. It's quite nice and worth keeping, but figuring out how to open it without destroying it requires some thought, as it's held together by several stickers. My advice is to cut the transparent seal on the bottom, release the bottom part, and then carefully slide it out.

Overall, I can say that I was satisfied with this set; I consider the flaws forgivable, and most importantly, I finally got a Strahd figure for a reasonable price.

Obsahuje sedm figurek hlavních postav ze stejnojmenného dobrodružství Curse of Strahd, které bylo vydáno jako samostatná publikace. Nejpozoruhodnější a patrně nejžádanější je figurka hlavního oponenta, hraběte Strahda von Zaroviche (uprostřed přiložené fotky), právě kvůli ní jsem ho koupil. Oproti své variantě z Monster Menagreie 1 vypadá méně strašidelně a bojovně, nelze ale říci, že by byla horší, hrabě Strahd s pohárem (krve?) a rukou na meči, se zadumaným výrazem.

Figurka Ezmereldy d'Avenir nacházející se na fotce zcela vlevo má oproti verzi z Monster Menagerie 1 podobu hezčí holky.
Napravo od ní je Madame Eva, na vědmu poměrně mladistvého zjevu.
Před nimi stojící figurka strašidelného šaška působí přiměřeně temně, snad jen by mohla mít více zdviženou hlavu, aby vynikla její obličejová část.
Napravo za figurkou Strahda je k vidění van Richten v dramatické póze s holí, působící o dost civilněji než jeho verze z D&D MINIATURES.
Napravo od Strahda stojí Baba Lysaga, strašidelná babice stojící na lebkách.
Napravo od ní je příslušník hybridní rasy Mongerfolk, s jednou nohou nelidskou (ptačí či plazí?), asi nejvíce vzbudí pozornost, že jeho hrb slouží jako úložný prostor pro truhličku.

Figurky jsou detailní, mají pěkné pózy, za největší nedostatek bych ale považoval přetahy při barvení. To se u mých figurek týká ruky Strahda na poháru (nedokonalé vybarvení)a obličeje Ezmeraldy (přetah růžové), v tomto ohledu jim nebyla věnována taková péče jako byla např. u koboldo-bugbeáro-ogřího setu Cave Defenders.

Samostatnou pozornost si zaslouží také obal, krabice s průhledem na figurky zasazené do tvarované umělohmotné podložky. Je dosti pěkná a hodná zachování, ovšem přijít na to, jak jí nedestruktivně otevřít vyžaduje jistou dávku přemýšlení, drží totiž pohromadě díky několika nálepkám. Moje rada zní, přeříznout průsvitné zalepení co je zespodu, uvolnit dolní díl a pak opatrně vytáhnout.

Celkově mohu říci, že jsem byl s touto sadou spokojený, nedostatky považuji za prominutelné, a hlavně, získal jsme konečně figurku Strahda za přijatelnou cenu.
