Condottiere takes you back to the Renaissance, a time when Italy was fractured into many small, independent, and rival states. It was the era of the condottieri—commanders of private mercenary armies who sold their services to the noble rulers of these states.

Some of them, brilliant strategists and feared warriors, leveraged their growing influence through intrigue, provocation, and backroom deals to seize power for themselves.
