Chicago Express
Description
It is hard to imagine the American Industrial Revolution without the railroad. Developing such a vast country without the ability to transport materials over long distances simply wouldn't work. The North American rail network grew primarily thanks to private investment. Many railway companies emerged during that era, all seeking investors willing to provide capital. We still recognize names like Cornelius Vanderbilt or Charles Morgan today. It is worth noting, however, that these investors were rarely interested in the development of the railways themselves, focusing instead on their own profits through dividends.
In the board game Chicago Express, you strive to maximize your profits by acquiring shares in prosperous railway companies. You have several ways to increase the value of your stakes in these companies.
The game is in English.
