Mausritter: A quick mouse adventure

Mausritter offers a modern and minimalist start. Players take on the roles of brave mice facing a dangerous world. The rules themselves take up only a few pages.

The inventory works through physical cards. You place equipment and injuries directly onto your character sheet. However, the game lacks a more comprehensive guide for inexperienced Game Masters.

The weight of storytelling rests entirely on your imagination. Even so, the game requires almost no preparation. That's why you can handle the role of a Game Master on your very first try.

Pirate Borg: Dark Caribbean

If you like the idea of fast and minimalist rules like in Mausritter, but are looking for something grittier, Pirate Borg is exactly for you. Cute mice are replaced by blood, rum, and undead pirates. The system is extremely simple – you can roll up a character in a few minutes and head out to plunder cursed islands.

The game pulls no punches and serves up a thick art-punk atmosphere full of mature themes, horrors, and high character mortality. Just like Mausritter, the manual won't hold your hand on how to actually play role-playing games, but it more than makes up for it with a raw experience that pulls you aboard immediately. This game is also available in a Czech translation.

Dračí Hlídka: Classic fantasy

Looking for traditional monster fighting? Dračí Hlídka revives the old Dračí doupě with its classic fantasy archetypes.

You assemble a party of traditional warriors and rangers and then dive into dungeons to slay goblins and collect treasure. The beginner rules contain everything you need for an easy start.

The greatest strength of Dračí hlídka is clearly its active community. You can easily find answers to your questions and partners for your game.

Jeskyně a draci: A global phenomenon in Czech

Are you drawn to the massive world of Dungeons & Dragons? Jeskyně a draci shares the same core, is compatible with D&D 5th Edition, and is fully in Czech. You get access to a global legend without the language barrier.

More complex rules mean a slightly higher barrier to entry. However, the manual itself explains every aspect of playing role-playing games in great detail. In the book, you'll find precise instructions for running the game and playing characters.

Furthermore, the system benefits from the huge base of the original D&D. The internet offers hundreds of useful guides, supplements, and adventures.
