Description
Azulejos, originally white and blue ceramic tiles from the time when the Moors ruled the Iberian Peninsula, are now a traditional element and decoration of Portuguese architecture. When King Manuel I of Portugal saw the beauty of the Alhambra palace in southern Spain, he immediately ordered his own residence in Portugal to be decorated with similar tiles.
In the strategic board game Azul, you take on the role of an artist working with azulejos, collecting colorful tiles to decorate the palace walls. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
