Atomové šelmy

The book is a page-turner, just like the previous installments. I felt that in terms of narrative logic, the authors were pulling my leg a bit, maneuvering the main characters into interesting scenes while the connections between them felt less important.

Unfortunately, the book contains a number of typos and minor errors. It’s nothing terrible, but there are simply more of them here compared to the previous volumes. A major publishing house should have kept a closer eye on a title that sells this well…

Otherwise, just like the previous parts, the book features a nice sprayed edge, so it will look great on your bookshelf.

Knížka je čtivá, podobně jako předchozí díly. Měl jsem pocit, že co se týče logiky vyprávění, tak mě autoři trochu tahají za nos a spíše “štelují” hlavní hrdiny do zajímavých scén, jejichž propojení už pak není tak důležité.

Bohužel knížka obsahuje řadu překlepů a chybiček. Není to nic hrozného, ale oproti předchozím dílům je jich tady zkrátka více. Velký redakční dům by si to u takhle prodávaného titulu mohl ohlídat lépe…

Jinak stejne jako předchozí díly má kniha slušivou barevnou ořízku, v knihovně se tak neztratí.

After finishing the Spad series, I was looking for something else in the genre and Atomové šelmy was my first choice.

I have no idea how the writing duo put this book together, but aside from a few minor narrative hiccups, it's an action symphony.

The pace isn't as sharp as in the Spad series (perhaps closer to its finale), but it's still a great read—I devoured the book in two days.

I'd say you won't find much better within the action post-apo genre…

Po dočtení série Spad jsem hledal další žánrové čtení a na Atomové šelmy padla první volba.

Netuším, jakým způsobem autorská dvojice knihu psala, ale až na drobné příběhové škobrtnutí je to akční symfonie.

Tempo není tak ostré, jako u série Spad (možná blízké jejímu zakončení), ale stále je to velice čtivé - knihu jsem přechroustal za dva dny.

Řekl bych že v rámci žánru akční postapo nic moc lepšího nenajdete…

Compared to the first volume, there are more deus ex machina moments and the occasional narrative stumble—some character motivations feel a bit thin—but it's still a solid read. Looking forward to the sequel!

Proti prvnímu dílu tady přibylo deus ex machina momentů a sem tam nějaké to příběhové klopýtnutí - motivace postav tu a tam šustí papírem, ale pořád je to solidní čtení. Těším se na pokračování!
