Assassin's Creed

Assassin’s Creed is a series of action-adventure historical RPGs published by Ubisoft since 2007. The central theme is the conflict between the Assassin Brotherhood (The Hidden Ones) and the Templars (formerly known as the Order Of The Ancients or Cult of Kosmos). Assassin’s Creed games take place in various historical eras. They gradually, though not chronologically, reveal the hidden secrets of both ancient societies as well as information about the extinct civilization known as the Isu.

Stories from the Assassin’s Creed series (abbreviated as AC) touch upon many time periods. In the first game, players experience the era of the Third Crusade through the eyes of hero Desmond Miles and his ancestor Altaïr. In Assassin’s Creed II and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, you visit Italy through the character Ezio Auditore. AC III and the pirate-themed AC Black Flag take players to America. Over time, the game series has been enriched by countless DLCs. Since 2014, Ubisoft has released AC Unity, AC Rogue, and AC Syndicate.

Milestones in the Assassin’s Creed game series include AC Origins, AC Odyssey, and AC Valhalla. All these titles provide players with hundreds of hours of gameplay in a fully open-world environment. Since 2022, Ubisoft has decided to return to its roots. Titles like AC Mirage, Codename Red, Codename Hex, and Codename Jade mark the beginning of a new era for the Assassin’s Creed franchise, which also includes a multiplayer game currently in development.
