Army Painter Spray Angel Green

This spray from The Army Painter really ruined my day. I used it years ago and had no complaints back then, so I was quite surprised by today's result.

After a long time, I decided to start building the models that have been gathering dust in my closet. Since I paint Dark Angels, I bought this spray to save time on priming.

I let the spray warm up to room temperature, shook it as much as I could, and gave a light spray to a spare sprue—the first test went well, no grainy texture on the surface.

Then I took two figures I had ready and sprayed them for a second from the recommended distance—but I immediately let out a howl of despair. The paint instantly flooded every single detail it touched. As a bonus, the occasional droplet flies through the air and paint runs down the side of the can. I primed the rest of the figures with a white spray from GW (I'm attaching a photo to show the difference), and now I'm sitting here wondering where to get two Intercessors from Dark Imperium—a box that hasn't been sold for a while.

Tenhle sprej od army painteru mi dneska krásně zkazil den. Používal jsem ho už před lety a tehdy jsem neměl co vytknout, dost mě tedy překvapil dnešní výsledek.

Po dlouhé době jsem se rozhodl že si začnu skládat modely které mi straší ve skříni a jelikož barvím Dark Angels, koupil jsem si tenhle sprej ať ušetřím čas na základovce.

Sprej jsem nechal prohřát na pokojovou teplotu, proštěrkával jak jen to šlo a jemně stříkl na spruečko od figurek - první zkouška dopadla dobře, krupičku na povrchu nedělá.

Poté jsem vzal dvě figurky co jsem měl nachystané a vteřinu stříkl z předepsané vzdálenosti - ovšem okamžitě potom jsem zoufale zavyl. Barva okamžitě zalila jakékoliv detaily ke kterým se dostala. Jako bonus pak vzduchem občas letí nějaká ta kapka a barva teče dolů po spreji. Zbytek figurek jsem stříkl bílým sprejem od GW (přikládám fotku k porovnání rozdílu) a teď sedím a uvažuju kde seženu dva intercessory z Dark Imperia - box který už se nějakou dobu neprodává.
