Approaching Dawn: The Witching Hours

Only one playthrough so far, but the game plays nicely and feels snappy. The unique character abilities combined with the effort to complete a common goal without losing your own character feels a bit like the original Android from Fantasy Flight Games.
The unusual art style, somewhere between Charmed and W.i.t.c.h., is definitely a refreshing change from the generic flood of classic high fantasy and Cthulhu horror clones.
The production quality is high, the artwork is above average, and although it isn't heavily stylized, the theme keeps it from feeling generic. It's just a shame it's all cardboard and there was no room for miniatures :(

zatím jen jedna sehrávka, ale hra se hraje pěkně a svižné. Odlišné schopnosti postav a zároveň snaha splnit společný cíl a nepřijít přitom o svou vlastní postavu trochu připomíná původní Android od Fantasy Flight Games.
Neobvyklá stylizace někde mezi Charmed a čarodejkami W.i.t.c.h. je rozhodně příjemným osvěžením v generické záplavě klasické high fantasy a horrorových Cthulhu klonů.
Zpracování je kvalitní, výtvarná práce nadstandardní a ačkoli není nijak výrazně stylizovaná, nepůsobí díky motivu tuctově. Snad jen škoda, že je to samý karton a nezbyl prostor na figurky :(
