Ace Detective

The year is 1941. Within the next 8 months, the United States will join the war raging across Europe and the Pacific. Despite all this, most Americans live in relative peace in their homes… unless they live in the City by the Bay, as they call San Francisco.

Old-school crimes, mysteries, and murders present unique challenges for detectives and local citizens alike. Especially if you are a police investigator in a shabby tuxedo, with a cigarette dangling from your lip and a tongue full of hard-boiled one-liners, just like the unforgettable Phil Marlowe. You might find yourself in a dingy hole-in-the-wall inside a neon-lit nightclub. Or, you could be a wife planning a murder under flickering lamps in a dark alleyway. It is up to you to decide what story you create.

Ace Detective is a narrative card game that rewards imagination and the ability to tell a good story. Play your cards at the right moment, tell your tale, and earn points to use when convicting the criminal. But beware, everyone in this rotten city has a story that might be better than yours… a story that will make one of you the ace among detectives!
