Description
The game's story is set in the mining settlement of Torchlight, established in a rush after the discovery of rich deposits of Ember – a rare and mysterious ore that can enchant or corrupt everything it touches. This destructive power can have dire consequences, and you must venture into the depths of the nearby mountain and the mines beneath it to uncover the full impact Ember had on the civilizations that lived here in the past.
- All levels are randomly generated, making every adventure completely unique. Monsters, loot, puzzles, and items will also be different every time you play.
- Torchlight is designed to be easy to pick up and play. The intuitive interface lets you dive straight into a rich and diverse world.
- Once you reach a certain level, you can "retire" your character and pass on various starting bonuses to new heroes.
- Choose a pet companion to accompany you. Your pet will level up with you, help you in combat, carry your items, and provide many other useful services.
- Choose from three character classes, customize your hero, and pick your pet. Your appearance, skills, choices during the adventure, and the items you find will be different every time.
- Need a break from the fast-paced action? Visit one of the fishing spots, relax, and try your luck. Fish can have various effects on you or your pet, and you might even discover some interesting items.
Torchlight does not support Steam, so no internet activation is required. For fans of original versions, you can choose between the English and Czech language settings.

A pretty decent Diablo remake. Even though the classic is the classic, I'm thrilled. I've had the game for a while now, and whenever I'm bored, I reach for it. Graphically, it's more of a relaxing experience—similar to Warcraft 3, looks like a bit of an animated toy at first glance, but it's good otherwise. A huge advantage is the pet; it levels up with you, gets stronger, and fights—so you can use it as bait, which is great for a mage. Plus, it carries your loot back up from the dungeon, so you don't have to constantly deal with TPs like in Diablo, which was a real pain if you ran out. This is solved elegantly. The village is quite nice, and fishing is interesting. However, I have to criticize the rather weak story and the lack of locations; it feels a bit monotonous. The game settings include a NETBOOK interface option, which is a pretty solid advantage for anyone who owns one of those gadgets. Anyway, I recommend it—it's an RPG classic.
Vcelku ucházející remake Diabla, i přesto, že klasika je klasika, tak jsem nadšený. Mám hru už hodnou chvíli doma a když už nevím co, sáhnu po ní. Graficky jde spíše o takové odreagování - podobné Warcraftu 3, taková animovaná blbinka od pohledu, ale jinak dobré. Velkou výhodou je to zvíře, jednak se s vámi expí nahoru a je silnější, bojuje - takže jde použít jako návnada - pro kouzelníka dobré, a pak hlavně odnáší ty věcičky nahoru z dolu, ne jako v Diablu, že jste museli neustále řešit TP a pak, když jste náhodou neměli, bylo to dost blbý. Tohle je elegantně vyřešené. Vcelku hezká vesnička, rybaření je zajímavé. Nicméně bych vytkl dost slabý příběh a málo lokací, je to takový jednolitý. Hra má v nastavení rovnou možnost rozhraní NETBOOK, což je pro někoho, kdo tuto hračičku vlastní, dost slušná výhoda. Každopádně doporučuji, taková RPG klasika.
