Tiffany Aching

Tiffany Aching is a witch from Terry Pratchett's Discworld. She is the main protagonist of the novels The Wee Free Men, A Hat Full of Sky, Wintersmith, I Shall Wear Midnight, and The Shepherd's Crown. We first meet Tiffany as a nine-year-old girl who sets out with a cast-iron skillet to fight the Queen of the Fairies. It is clear that Tiffany has the right kind of mind, which destines her for a career as a witch. While this mostly means caring for the elderly, delivering babies and lambs, and generally doing hard and thankless work, someone has to do it. In the final book, The Shepherd's Crown, which is also the very last book by Terry Pratchett, Tiffany is already an experienced and respected witch.
